Alena not able to perform pathos and delicacy of young love?
Actually if anybody is able to top Nastya's R&J (the best R&J I saw so far, sorry Yuzuru) it might be Alena. Her musicality and movements are just divine and I find more important than pathos. Besides can we finally get rid of "delicate Julia" image?! It isn't like Korzeniowski's music isn't full of passion.

Big fan of Alena's skating! She has so much style, substance, sophistication, musicality, maturity, soul, charisma, artistry, elegance, technical skills......everything needed for a great skater. Love this picture! Alena's imposing presence on ice completely hides the fact that she has such a tiny stature! When I watch her skate, I completely forget about her age or height. She has such command and poignancy in her skates, with no hesitation. I love her confidence and fearlessness, even in her taking on the JGP Final interview without the translator and answering in English. What a sweetheart!

Shoma is another one of those skaters with a short stature but huge presence on ice. And this picture of them together is even more revealing of her size and so endearing! :luv17:

One thing I love about Alena is that she is not wearing tights over her boots, which gives her an even more mature and elegant look.

Love this pose, can't get enough of her arms and hand gestures!
