I think it will be more likely her SP from last season. Skaters aren‘t allowed to use a current competitive program as the exhibition, are they?
They are not.
I love her short from last year, though, so I'm excited!

It is going to be her short from last season and I’m so excited because I love that program and I think it will be great to see it with a year more experience and maturity
Agreed. It will be really interesting to see how that program evolved.
Is she the only Russian junior performing in the gala?

Watch their stories. Alena was asked whether she knew who had first jumped the Salchow and she had the correct answer. Also gotta love Mishin‘s answer on the lutz.![]()

It was so nice to see Alena's Adios Nonino again. For one still so young, her interpretation has really matured and her gestures looked very organic. I hope she returns to this style as a senior. It really suits her.
Carmen is so tired, and I wouldn't wish that on her, but after her Jr. Worlds ex last year, I almost wonder how Zagitova's free skate would look on her.

In fact this year I think her edge is better than last year--there are a few times when it even looks slightly outside.
I agree with this 100%!!
After last season I was really scared for her lutz edge but I feel like it really improved. This season I did not see one 3Lz worse than (!) even with lots of rewinding and worry from my side and her jumping 2 per competition.
I would never expect her to show a big outside edge, but she jumped with a slight oe. Still (!) if you are strict, but tbh most adult ladies do not show great edges so I'm used to no (!) calls at all for lutzes like hers atm. You should not count on it though..
Team Eteri must have worked on it, I'm proud (and surprised tbh, but maybe they tried with zhenya as well and it just did not work out).
