What a strange response xD I guess maybe she has a reciprocated crush on someone but they aren't dating? An odd way to put it nonetheless.
Alena seems to have a good head on her shoulders, but if she wants to graduate early, go to medical school, and be a world-class figure skater all at the same time, I don't know how she thinks she'll have time for boys [emoji28]

The problem with any child and young teen having an active social media account is that it attracts lots of unwanted male attention of a perverse and pedosexual nature.
One can hope all young skaters, boys and girls, have been given instructions on how to keep themselves safe on social media and on how to detect, block and report inappropriate postings and followers.
Watch any live stream from a young athlete like gymnast, runner, swimmer etc. and see the demands to 'flex your muscle', 'lift your top' and worse pass by in the chat.
Once the child complies, the screenshots and recorded broadcasts get shared amongst the pervs, together with all social media details etc. and it will only get worse in the next live stream.
So when you, as a genuine fan, are watching a stream or participate in the chat, do not hesitate to report offenders, advice the broadcaster not to respond and block this offender.
As followers it is our obligation to help the broadcasters keeping their accounts clean, their reputations untarnished.

Agreed. Alena will need a 36-hour day instead of a 24-hour day in the future.
I guess she doesn't have a boyfriend but she likes somebody. That is perfectly normal.

As a fan, i don't think it's good to hope that she, nor the other little girls we cheer for, going to face alone all the demanding psychological difficulties may comes from this sport in the years to come. Alena may appear head strong, but we have already see her cry and expect too much from herself.
I like how Tuk and Lazukin talk about supporting each other, in sport and life, so i think it's something more desirable, as long her chosen one it's not a total dick, obviously

true. I usually have more hopes in law enforcement forces like the police and the security services to catch and punish pedophiles than in sport bureaucrats doing their internal investigations and in-house cleaning. Also parents should be more controling the ways teenagers interact with the world via social networks. And yes, probably, national sport organizations should start reading lectures to underage athletes how to behave and what for what for when they interacting online. So they can block/report anythjng suspicious. We can ban all teenagers from social media or catch all pedophiles, but we can make it safer. I don't think that should be on coaches, but sport national government bodies (federations) should do some educational safety programs for young athletes and their parents. This would be a good first step.
