Alena Kostornaia

confirmation is now everywere.
On Aliona's side always
Me too. I only hope the best for her. She's had a brutal last 2 seasons and then physically with the broken hands recently. Hopefully there's something left for aleona at CSKA. But that coach had Elena masha polina and finished them off and they also had nastya 15 and 16 years old and did not do much with her. Although if you go back and look at her programs while she was at CSKA they were very good especially for 15 and 16 years old. . Now Aliona is obviously at a different talent level with skating skills and technical ability than the other ladies I mentioned. There is reason for hope if AK can get healthy get a new start and and Russia is not banned for like the next 2 years because of what their political leaders are doing.

I have thought for a few months now that there would be changes at TT after this season. Hopefully we will get a statement from aleona soon.

"Once she was a European champion, but now she is nobody."

i will probably get a warning for this, but f*ck that group. that entire team is so incredibly toxic, these are literal ADULTS speaking like this. what a disgusting comment to make about a CHILD. these athletes are so disposable, they are nothing to them. once they are off the podium they are worthless. they don't care about who they are as humans, only results and medals, and how this team treats students when they leave or stop bringing in the hardware is nothing short of toxic and narcissistic.

after the doping allegations, what happened to Kamila at the olympics, and not only how they are treating Aliona now but most if not all former students, i am done with this coaching team. its inexcusable.

at this point i honestly don't care if she never makes another podium again or even if she quits skating, i just want her far, far away from Team Tutberidze.

I think they are reacting to the choreographer of Tutberize's group comments about Aliona leaving.
considering she first broke one aem and than the other one her absence is easily explained. so what? really this team is getting on my nerves with those comments.

I just learnt that Katarina Witt was once a 2 times olympic champion but now she's nobody.
Life is not lived on the pedestal. It may be an important objective in a skater life but it's not life.
If a spot on the pedestal is all you have I fear the day you will stop skating.
Look at Alina: she had a spot on the pedestal (the best one) but she moved on in great way.
We all saw Zenya grow as an indipendent woman the moment she stopped being on the pedestal, skating for passion and giving everything with a body refusing to give her the perfomance she once get from it.

We should not care about this guy. He really is nobody as a man and as a mentor for his pupils.

He had a long time while Kamila was devoured by hyenas to say something in her support but he was hiding
He had a long time to release some interview supporting the skaters approaching the olympics, especially Anna and Sasha that were not having a perfect easy season, but we heard nothing.

Not a day passed before he said **** about Dasha severely injuried
Not a day passed before he spitted on Aliona's reputation after she left the team.

we had proof two years ago that a 16 y/o Aliona was the real adult between them with the allegedly adults spreading hate on socials while the alledged kid just said "If I have something to say I will do it in their face".
Nothing new under the sun (or the ice)

R-Sport says she was asked to leave the group by the coaching staff.

The parting with figure skater Alena Kostornaya took place at the initiative of the coaching staff of Eteri Tutberidze, a source familiar with the situation told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, a RIA Novosti source said that the European champion - 2020 moved to the group of Elena Buyanova.

They can issue two warnings then because I agree 100%.

Good luck to Aliona! Whatever happens, her talent for figure skating is undeniable. Shame how the supposed adults have treated her throughout her career but that's not on her.

It’s a draw folks..
Whether they asked her to go or not it may have been a mutual decision..
But I bet Aliona said Bah Bye first..
At this stage E group with their sports and human rights issues, is not in a position to ask anyone anything…
I agree the podium is a moment and Aliona has had the best podium experiences but life happens elsewhere and thank the lord Aliona wants to skate .. I don’t care if she ever stands on another podium; she is the best of the best.

Tutberidze literally shamed her in an interview for not training and competing at RusNats with a broken arm, saying Aliona "missed all chances in sport". How could you possibly want to stay after your own coach talks like this about you? Still, Aliona did stay and she did train with that fracture. Well, it turns out this was an incredibly stupid/dangerous idea because then she promptly broke her second arm.

And whatever happens, Aliona IS a European Champion and a GPF Champion. Yes, with her talent she should have won more and her luck has been terrible but she's not a nobody by any means. And even if she had never won anything in her life — what a horrible way to talk about your teenaged athletes, as if they're worth nothing, as if they only count as a way to win medals and earn fame for the adults. Disgusting.
