Oh thank you very much.ESPN has the full event on replay now - I'm going to watch it and if I can figure out how, I will try to download it or make a screen capture. I can't promise I will be successful though.

For the flying camel, maybe he didn't hold the catch-foot position long enough? I think it took him half a rotation to grab his blade, so it could've been counted as 1.5 revolutions instead of the necessary 2 revolutions. I dunno...Protocol for Sasha:
As I suspected, spins got downgraded, they were level 4s for the majority of this season. It's a bit strange, I'm not sure what to make of this. No video.
Jumps all clean, very good skate actually. He lost about 2-3 points on those spins.

Yeah, I don't like that position either. Surely his team can come up with more interesting combinations. I hope Mishin does something about this.For the flying camel, maybe he didn't hold the catch-foot position long enough? I do, selfishly, want him to change the camel because I don't find this position very attractive. I know other people have done similar positions without me protesting. I think Sasha's could be better with the leg not bent so far though.

Yeah, a couple inches taller would help with the jumps too.I'm afraid Mishin might like it.Plushy did something similar in Sochi. (I didn't really mind that one, however. Maybe Sasha just needs to grow taller.
)
Male commentator was Ari.Thank you! I think he did very well - good luck for the free!
I do wonder who did the commentary - great background info. I'm especially curious about the male commentator, of course, as he said he'd been coached by Mishin for eight years - does anyone know?

I want to say, "Well, at least it's not that camel spin we both hate," but I think the first pic is even worse than that.SP pictures:

Not the most flattering pics but this is all I can find for now.
Btw, gallavich you got a shout-out from the owner of Sasha's baidu bar. She thanked you for the ESPN link to his SP.![]()
Thank you. The Russian language stream was horrid for me. It kept freezing and the annoying commentator was comparing Sasha to Adian.Oh, that's nice! I've added his FS, if anyone can bear to watch it again. So sad, but we know he was sick, so I give him credit for trying his best.

Yes, he's definitely going to Junior Nationals. How will this impact the rest of his season? Well, Rus Fed doesn't particularly like (nor dislike) Sasha, so they might get ideas and send Adian for Junior Worlds too (I think Russia has 3 spots). If so, then goodbye Junior Worlds medal for Sasha since I doubt ISU wants 2 Russian men on the podium, unless of course Boyang and one of the Japanese men bomb then Sasha might get lucky. Of course winning Junior Nationals is in doubt too, for similar reasons. But silver at Junior Nationals should be no problem, since even a sick Sasha can beat Samarin and Aliev.Thanks gallavich - I haven't seen it at all yet, but am preparing to... I know it all went to heck in a handbasket, though - I'm glad I wasn't watching live! it was bad enough reading about it, if I had been watching, I'd have been heartbroken... Oh, well... I was hoping for about 6th place for him, so 9th is disappointing, but... it's not as if he lost out on a medal or anything. Any thought if this result will impact the rest of his season? Will he be competing in Junior Nationals as well?
In the interview after his SP Sasha said fatigue played a part as this is his 9th start. Although he also said that competing was good practice too.Perhaps. But people do fall sick even without competing strenuously - he might not have done all those competitions, and still fallen ill anyway. Who knows?

- and not let it mar what he has achieved thus far.
