Alexander Petrov

So, I only have one thing to say about the short program... that shirt is terrible. I'm so sorry, but i hate that . Not that big of a deal but still.

the free program is beautiful and the costume is awesome but I'm still waiting for 4T... (and that 3Lo  oh well, mistakes happen for everyone)
Yeah, I hope he changes the shirt too. PLEASE Sasha, change it! lol

Indeed. :)

I'm not worried about the jumps - I remember Liza at this time last year, at one of these competitions, and look at her later. As for the quad, Papa Mishin will no doubt have him put it in when he thinks he's ready for it.

That said, I do think we should prepare ourselves for the eventuality that this might turn out to be something of a transitional season for Sasha, and that, therefore, everything might not be as smooth sailing as we'd all wish. He's moving up into seniors, he may be experiencing some growing pains perhaps, and then integrating the quad. But, in spite of all that, I'm not worried. He'll get through it just fine, I'm certain.:)

Reverse angle. I hope they put the wave movement in the opening pose back into the program. I liked the original choreography that he showed at Tartu.

You can tell he's still not fully fit but the 3A is getting noticeably better. It's almost back to the level it was at during the senior Bs that he won last season.

My guess is that he's just returned from Samara for 2 day rest at home and then he's going to Germany.

Would anyone like to take over ownership of Alexander Petrov's OP?

GS. Forum Staff took it over because the previous owner, skyfly, was banned.

if you would like to volunteer, please PM me.

I see what you mean.
Hmm... the only thing going on in Germany in the upcoming week is... Nebelhorn.
Well that's strange, he's erased his comments about Germany.
Wait and see I guess.

His name is not on the entries list for Nebelhorn so he's not going there anyway. And the list has been updated 21.9. so I don think he was even planning on going there last weekend, unless something happened right after he posted about going to Germany.

Yeah, I saw the entries list. Which is why the comments seemed odd. Unless he was going to Germany for something else.

Any idea whose programs he was working on specifically? It's nice, though, that it seems they wanted him back to continue to work on the programs - presumably it also means that they were happy with his work, and value his input.

My guess is that he worked with a few of Mishin's students, if not on choreography then on skating.

This is the fourth occasion since May that he's working with Mishin's group and on his facebook page Richaud says he can't wait to go back so it seems that this might be a long term arrangement. I'm happy that they've found a good choreographer who doesn't live too far away and can fly in to spend an extended period working with them. Most importantly, like you said, they seem to be happy with his work and he's happy working with them.

My guess is that he might be helping them improve their skating skills. I don't know how good he is as a choreographer, but such a hairless guy does not look attractive at all...

It's just another reason why he fits in so well with the coaching staff at Mishin's school!
I don't know if you've noticed but Sasha's the only guy with hair on his head in this photo: http://cs621620.vk.me/v621620213/405a9/4T_F_sDz_LU.jpg

Quite frankly, if Richaud was the one who did Sasha's LP, he's a hero in my eyes, no matter what he looks like. lol
