Alexander Petrov

Well, if my theory is correct, I believe there will be a lot of doubles tomorrow as well.

This afternoon's FS order:
Dancers first, 5 couples. And then Sasha. He's the first among the men to skate. :)

I've read a report on FSO. He did not attempt the quad, landed 3A, no falls. A lot of hair stroking (but we already knew that lol ) and the program was well liked by the audience.
Can't wait to see the video!

Edit:
Just finished watching. It's beautiful. Whoever choreographed this, and I'm guessing it's Benoit Richaud, did a wonderful job. :cheer2:
Except for the hand down, he accomplished all the jumps he intended to do today. The jumps are definitely getting better as well. Nice 3A.
And the crowd loved it!

Looking really good. That program is so beautiful!
And I'm so relieved seeing his jumps work relatively well again.

Watch the better quality video I just linked to. You'll love the program even more. And his facial expressions!

I really like his LP, especially his skating and interpretation. I hope he will improve the jumps before GP.

Some great photos there, as ever thanks for posting, adelia! It's funny when I see his face so clearly, I'm struck by how young he looks - I don't think about that when he skates.:)

That was a very good performance. He always does that with his knees before starting, doesn't he? (Like Brian doing a single jump.) It's fun seeing such a small version of him doing that same motion...

Also, it occurred to me while watching it, that this music might suit him as well:

Yeah, the massaging of the knees is a ritual it seems. I wonder when he first started doing that...

That soundtrack would be good, there's honestly so much out there that he could potentially skate to and make a great program out of. He's quite versatile.

Finlandia Trophy entries have been announced. He's not on it. But Menshov and Voronov are. Now the question is, will he be going to Nebelhorn then?

There's still one more challenger series event before SC that he can go to, that's Mordovian Ornament from 15th-18th Oct. There are 11 days between that competition and SC so it's possible.

Ohhhhh.... I must confess I'm a tad disappointed about Finlandia - it seems a popular Senior B, and they seem to be able to gather a nice crowd, and I believe they liked him last year. Oh, well...

At least it's not so long to wait for his next outing, then, something to look forward to. Do you think he'll go "all out" on jumps? I'm doubtful about that...
