The Fed wants those who did not make the Euros teams to skate in the Russian Cup Final. Nagornykh is the Deputy Minister of Sports. I think they're going to use not only Euros results but Russian Cup Final results to ultimately decide who goes to Worlds. But I think this doesn't really affect Sasha since I doubt they intend to send him to Worlds at all.

No, I don't think sending Sasha to Worlds' is something they are at all considering - Junior Worlds' perhaps. To change their minds he'd have to - probably - put down two clean skates, with at least a quad each, and beat both Kovtun and Kolyada. That would be a big ask, and put undue pressure on him. So, I'd just like him to go out there, and do the best he can, debut the quads, entertain the crowds - and have fun! (preferably "the time of his life" - but fun will do.

I'm not very invested in men's skating, but I watched the comp at Russian nats, and Sasha really stood out. I've seen him skate before, but I think I'll be watching him at all of his competitions now. His performance quality was great, as well as his jumps, and I think he'll be a star one day. I hope he does great as Euros, and I'd love to see him go to worlds... (not likely, but never say never)

It is great to see that everyone looks so happy after the competitions. I think Sasha is the youngest among them, right? I know V/T and T/M are real couples off the ice, but Nikita with Vika and Bukin with Alexandra might be the same based on my penetrating insight.

Look at his hands. Every gesture is refined. Sasha has always been a tidy skater with great posture. But I think this season, he has reached a whole different level.

He is very tidy and every movement he does is defined and that's one of the reasons why I like his skating.
(Big part of it probably comes naturally to him, but he definitely works on it too)
I just really hope that one day it will matter more in the scoring system. Because right now posture and all that doesn't really seem to affect the scores that much.
MTE, with both statements.
It will start to be reflected in his scores once he makes a reputation for himself and without media/Fed hype that has to come through winning senior A medals. There is one judging system for those with Fed backing and/or big reputations and another for the rest of the skaters.

Well, this is interesting. The current version of the rsport.ru article on Euros selection was edited after it was released. I didn't realize it because I only saw the latest version but the original article was posted on a Russian forum. Regarding Sasha, what rsport removed from the article was this which I have bolded:
