If things don't go well in the next 2+ days, I may need to take an even longer hiatus than before.
 
But no matter what happens, I'm going to stay calm and composed. Because really I'm quite tired.

Yes, overtiredness is almost a drug...

Well, here's hoping all goes well - though seeing that he's going to start off the competition didn't do anything good for my nerves. Let's hope he stays calm, though.

Practice starts in about 20mins time.
I hope the condition of the ice is better today. There were photos of staff checking the temperature of the ice yesterday.

You know how I feel about Epic music for Sasha.:)

You may be right about the coat - but it's still a nice colour, though & it suits him well.

I'm glad there are signs of them doing something about the ice.

They also had to redo the K&C, TV pple were not happy with it, maybe the sofa was too low or whatever.

Edit:
Regarding "epic", yeah, he desperately needs Epic. Or at least more drama, I mean Drama. But I will get back to this issue at another time.

He doubled the lutz. And his PCS was about 2.5pts lower than last year.
It's not good at all and he knows it.

Oh no... this isn't looking good at all right now. He's going to have a lot of climbing up the results to do tomorrow.
 
I've got a theory about why that lutz hasn't been working but I'll have to wait for after FS to get confirmation about whether I'm on the right track.
 
Right now he's sitting around 8th with two guys to go. So it's guaranteed that he's going to be in group 2 for the FS. Top 5 overall is very doable if he skates clean tomorrow.
 
There's a published interview, first one since Finlandia.

Figure skater Alexander Petrov said that he sets for himself on the Russian championship in Chelyabinsk the task to qualify for the European and world championships.

Petrov in the last championship of Russia took third place and ended up in the country's national team for the European Championships in Bratislava. In the championship in Chelyabinsk for the short program the skater scored 75.97 points.

"I understand that the pre-Olympic season is paramount. According to the results of the world championships in Helsinki the quota for the Olympics will be allocated. I hope that in the long program, I will have something to show, and then even further than that. The task - to break into the main starts of the season."

According to the sportsman, he is going to jump a quadruple toe loop in the free program. "Dissatisfied with the fact that did not go as planned. But it's not all that bad. I hope in the free program everything will go well. My quads are ready and will be in the free program. Oh I forgot the most important piece of information. He starts as #10 tomorrow in the FS. Second last guy in his group (group 2). It's a good draw.
