Remember this? The first showing of his Oblivion/Building the Bullet FS. I have so much love for this program, it's not only beautiful on video but in photos too. And it gave us so many wonderful photos that season.

It was - to use a word that I think often is over-used, but seems the only appropriate one here - a gorgeous program. In every way, including the costume, it was just... perfect.

After you used the "P" word, I went to YouTube and rewatched his Freeskate from Rus Nats 2016. Just :sad21:

Since it's the off-season, they must already have started working on new programs.
So let's suggest some potential new music for Sasha. Just for fun, since our suggestions will never come true. lol
Ideas anyone?

Alas but my mind (such as it is;) ), is a total blank at the moment, and I cannot think of anything new. (By new I mean something I haven't already suggested, rather than brand new hot-off-the-presses music.:))

Yeah, I kind of knew the futility of my post while I was writing it. Oh well.

I haven't really been in much of a music-listening mood lately so maybe that's part of the reason why - generally I'd listen to (mostly instrumental) music whilst being on the computer, but for whatever reason, I haven't done much of that recently.

This is the Olympic season. And while I'm not optimistic that he will, I still pray and hope that Mishin understands that Sasha needs "top-class" and not just "okay" or "above average" choreography and packaging. To do the same things as last season will not help Sasha at all. PCS was not good last season. You always want to see PCS on the upward trend throughout a season but last season it fluctuated quite noticeably. And at its peak, it wasn't high either. If he was loved by the judges and his Federation, it wouldn't matter much what he skated to but since he is not, all the more you need to pay attention to music choices, packaging and choreography.

And Sasha please, just say NO to yellow. Please.

Hey, I liked the SP costume this year! Not at first glance, perhaps, but when I got a closer look at the detailed work on it... I thought it was lovely. Like golden armour. A sorcerer prince.:)

Mishin always understands this! But then it becomes about how to make the skater comfortable and you see choreo be altered dramatically! The skater must be able to do all technical elements. Liza and artur went to Canada and got amazing work done but then they had some problems and out it went!

Sasha isn't handled in the same way as Liza and Artur Gachinski are/were. So there is no point bringing in those examples.

The point is when mishin has sent his skaters for top class choreo and packaging a lot of time he doesn't keep It throughout the season? Why would this be different with Petrov if he decides to get the top class product?

Tatjana Flade attended Mishin's camp in Tartu and according to her, Sasha's new FS will be choreographed by Adam Solya.

I'm not familiar with Solya's work, other than what he's done for the Hendrickx siblings.
This is a profile on him: http://www.icestars.be/index.php/coaches/7-adam-solya
His profile sounds interesting. I hope he can bring back some of the drama and emotional depth that was missing in Sasha's programs in the 2016-2017 season.

It seems that Sasha might have also worked with Ramil Mekhdiev at the Tartu camp. He is an artist from the Moiseyev dance company. So maybe on the SP? I'm not sure.
