No, lack of S/B did no harm, blame Kolyada instead

It added to their faults
But I truly believe if Sasha and Vanya were there, them doing SD segment would produce a higher overall ID score than just Katya and Dima there (since they had potential and could have scored higher SD, I mean europeans)

Peter Tchernyshev choreographed the FD for Stepanova/Bukin
"Tomorrow we start preparing for a new season in Novogorsk.The guys had a rest and on Monday go to the ice. as always, the program is ready, now we have to roll it in. Petya Tchernyshev has again appeared in the role of the director," Svinin said by phone.
Specialist noted that in the next season Stepanova/Bukin appear "in a different way." "It will be blues, but not slow, but very active, with fast pieces," - said Svinin.
He said that the short program will be delivered by another coach of the pair Irina Zhuk. "In general, the producers are the same as last season, we believe that we worked well," the coach added.

I have a feeling this new season is going to be great for Sasha and Ivan. Depending on their programmes of course. This could definitaly be a break out year .A medal at gp and Euros?

It seems they have a realistic chance 2 golds in the GPs, if C/B are really behind due to her injury and a silver in Euros is even more likely.

Taking a page out of H/D's book suits them. I thought their step sequences stood out especially, very well choreographed and musical.
