Erm... is it just me or are those comments about Sasha’s body kind of inappropriate? She’s still a teen, I wouldn’t go there personally.![]()

Trusova's 'New Look' is a main feature of the new season. We talked to the designer of her dresses
Alyona Kuklycheva's interview about criticism from fans, the costume and dresses of gymnasts were altered twice for several thousand dollars.
One of the most discussed phenomena of the first half of the season in our figure skating was the new dress of Aleksandra Trusova. Green on ice? Boldly. Pink flowers in the decoration, neckline with thin straps and delicacy? Even bolder!
In the minds of many fans and specialists, Trusova remains more of a tomboy than a matured beautiful girl. And this unfair stereotype had to be corrected - sometimes even a girl with a abs hewn from granite and four notations in the Guinness Book of Records wants to put on a delicate dress and go skating beautifully to lyric music.
To help us all recognise this new Sasha, her team turned to a designer that no top skater had worked with before. Alyona Kuklycheva is a new name in costume design for figure skating fans. At the same time, for almost ten years, Kuklycheva has been sewing leotards of exceptional beauty for female gymnasts, using unusual technologies and rare materials in her work - glitter fabrics, Dolce Gabbana silk and much more.
A week before the Russian Grand Prix, out Match TV correspondent came to the designer's workshop for an interview.
I don't think that's fair. I mean the dress is beautiful! Plus Sasaha's hardly the first skater to have her costume modified from its first creation.
Whoever advised to pick this designer did a bad service to Sasha and her team.

I wasn't commenting on the 'beauty' part of the costume, I meant the technical part. She herself says in the interview that she's a complete novice when it comes to FS costumes and had to get all the info from the client, she mentioned that they had to tell her how the 'underwear' part of the costume should be sewn, which to me seems like blatant incompetence on her part. That aside from how awkwardly the top part of the dress was looking on the first outing, and her giving some kind of private details as to why is happened, has really bugged me the wrong way.I don't think that's fair. I mean the dress is beautiful! Plus Sasaha's hardly the first skater to have her costume modified from its first creation.
It's not as if Alyona Kuklycheva is completely inexperienced, the article says she's designed gymnastics leotards for a decade. It's not likely, then, that any of the stones will fall off, getting a costume deduction or anything.
I'm disappointed that some fans in Russia (and perhaps in other countries) have sent hate to the designer. What's up with that?
I believe that Sasha gave up this dress back in September and the designer put it up for sale. By the way, this dress has already been bought by someone. Are we sure that's the dress they settled on? It's truly hideous, and not exactly what I would consider a corset or a traditional Juliet costume that she implies in the interview. Anyway, I'm sure they will continue exploring using other designers in the future. Since she is used to designing rhythmic gymnastics costumes, perhaps her style is too embellished to suit Sasha.
Is it? There's no caption and the dress designer mentioned in the article that a few other figure skaters have come to her. This is that dress allegedly https://www.instagram.com/p/CGRrppADo9G/
I would imagine all designers have to start somewhere and it's not as if she didn't fix it.She herself says in the interview that she's a complete novice when it comes to FS costumes and had to get all the info from the client, she mentioned that they had to tell her how the 'underwear' part of the costume should be sewn, which to me seems like blatant incompetence on her part.

I can't help but think - considering who posted the link to the article that this is another jab at Plushenko "Look how much of a fake coach he is, he can't even get a proper dress for his skaters."
Guess Brian Orser can't either because of the Orange Coloured Sky dress.
Eteri of course always picks perfectly.![]()

Are you denying Edwin hates Plushenko more than I hate Tatiana Tarasova? It's off topic, but they've accused him of everything from bribing officials to being a member of the Mafia.
Is that a hater comment though?Certain are even asking what is a problem with her legs? Why she has to cover her legs with those stockings? Etc.
