So wait she has to actually compete in all of them? That's terrible! Who else deserves to go more than Sasha and Anna? Kamila can't go, so...Sasha should have the second spot with the third up for grabs

She may chose what to compete for. But knowing the FFKKR "under rug" treatment means she must compete and win against the main rivals (Tuktamysheva, Medvedeva, Kostronaya etc.) directly. Otherwise, she may win a useless tournament with great skating but least CoP against any rival with a mediocre skating and great score.So wait she has to actually compete in all of them? I'd bet FFKKR's going to push Medvedeva and one of trixelists (Tukt has better chances). Both MED and TUK are going for the last international, very likely.
And one cannot call out the System. It's pure business, nothing personal.

I just tried to click on the link in it said NBC owned it or something like that and blocked it.Not related to current events, but good news. The video of Sasha's ex gala has already received more than 20 M views on YouTube. Considering that this video is not available for Russia, I think this is a lot. Sasha is the ambassador of this wonderful sport for the whole world.

Is this video is not available in Russia and the a blocking it in other countries for whatever reasons they're limiting it exposure and its ability to grow their sport in my opinion.

Sasha skated beautifully at Nationals, and I am so so happy for her that she finally put together a clean free programme. Seeing the return of her Lz-Lo combination was awesome - she really just explodes off the ice in the loop. This must have been a boost of confidence. I did laugh in the press conference when she said that it just wasn't enough quads for her, and I'm sure once she's healed she'll start to add them back in.

I hope that Sasha's spot is already secure. She did both cups, Rostelecom and Nationals. Nobody else of the top tier did. I hope they just make sure she is in fighting form and the third spot is decided at Russian cup final.

People keep saying that her spot is safe and secured but it seems contrary to what the Fed said yesterday. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think it should be so and I would love it to be so... I just can't help being doubtful about it as long as it does not get some official confirmation. But, yeah, I hope so!

At this stage I think emotions between fans of Team Plush and Team Tut are running so high that we're all making a mountain out of a molehill. Regardless of what the article said about RusFed's decision, I simply cannot imagine that they would leave Sasha out of the worlds team (if worlds is gonna happen at all). What are their alternatives at this point? Realistically? Liza is just as inconsistent as Sasha at best, Zhenya by her own admission barely manages to do one triple jump per program, Alyona's illness will not have helped her in restoring her trixel, and the rest of the possible contenders are not senior eligible. Imo, RusFed's decision is more aimed at Ignatov than Sasha (which is a whole other story by itself).
So long story short, I sincerely hope that Sasha and Plush do the smart thing and take the necessary time-off to allow Sasha's injury to heal. If I were Plush, I would not let my skaters be pressured into attending unnecessary competitions (although, selfishly I hope for many more events where I can watch fierce little Sasha skate this season). Maybe just go the the Russian Cup Final, which was probably planned anyway, to get in one extra competition as preparation for worlds.

Yeah, I guess you are right but it is still like almost 3 months to go and that provided they are going to keep the original schedule, without postponing or cancelling the event. It is a long way to go and I think it would be safer to have the spot officially secured. But thank you for this word of comfort anyway
Due to the absolute fact Valieva cannot take a spot for the Workds (otherwise something unthinkable happens and the age limit decreased) who is to be there if not Sasha?
Sasha was 2nd in RusNats (seniors counted). She must win a classification tournament among the seniors. Even if Anna decides to participate and wins from her again it means nothing.
I understand the position of FFKKR to give all three spots to TTFP. But who are those two to compliment with Anna?
Kostornaya may want to come back to TTFP, but it wasn't officially stated.
Sending other girls is a sure loss of a medal. The FFKKR may just send only Shcherbakova and forget about third quota for Olympics.

Yes - the men's event was a wild one, they were also missing multiple top contenders (Aliev, Danielian). Possibly also ice dance and pairs, although their top three at Nats are reasonable picks already. With men they have the most risk of losing (or not gaining) 3 spots for Olympics. With ladies, pretty much any three they send would probably guarantee 3 spots.
Of course this doesn't change the fact that it's unfavourable to Sasha's recovery
Unless it's Team Tutberidze For Plushenko
