It's a very nice 3A. Do you know what that means? Everyone else is in trouble because Sasha brings the most ammunition to the battle. And if she gets the Eteri bounce back watch out!

Sasha has more than last season and KV and Anna have the same as last season. Liza and Aliona are on the outside looking in. I don't even think Aliona has her 3A back.
Aliona does have her 3A back. Videos of it on numerous IG accounts..

I was hypothesizing on the RLT about her potential layout, but I hope we can discuss it more closely in her Fanfest. Since she has a 3axel as well as four different quads, there are ALOT of options for her. Here are mine, and I'm editing them the more I think about it! I'd love to hear your thoughts on what her layout should be.

Plan A: 3a, 4f, 4s, 4ltz-3t//////// 4ltz-3t, 4toe-Eu-3sal, 3ltz. This gives her three jump passes in the back to attempt to land a (-3t) and (-Eu-3sal) wherever, since she doesn't HAVE to complete a clean combination without the severe FALL + COMBO penalty. And usually the 3lutz is strong for her, so she can pretty much bank on a 3lutz combo to end the program. BaseJumpValue= 83.89

However, if she misses the first 4lutz she'd miss a combo and it would be too risky to put in another 4lutz, so I think if she misses the first 4lz the 4toe should replace the second 4lutz and then you can play around with the final jump passes in combo, like.....

Plan B: 3a, 4f, 4s, 4ltz (fall or stepout, no combo) //////// 4t-3t, 4toe-3t, 3lz-Eu-3s (or -3loop, -3toe, -2toe). Since she can do two --3toes, I'd probably want to get them out of the way as soon as I can, because it seems easier to pull off the --Eu-3sal after an iffy or difficult landing than trying to grind out a --3toe. So if she lands perfectly in the first two passes, go for the --3toe right away. She could do a --Eu-3S easily off a 3lutz. BaseJumpValue (without giving any points to the 4lz)= 70.61

In comparison with Kamila doing 3a, 4sal, 4toe-2toe, 4toe///// 3lz-3toe, 3flip-E-3sal, 3lz with JumpBaseValue= 66.71
with Anna doing 2a, 4flip-3toe, 4flip, 4lutz///// 3Lz-3Lp, 3flip-E-3sal, 3Lz = 70.48
with Aliona doing 3a-2t, 3a, 3lp, 2a /////////// 3f-3t, 3f-E-3s, 3lz. = 53.55

Trust Sasha to fall on her 3A because she overrotated it! She is an incredibly powerful jumper, and a rare athletic talent. I'm glad that she has a SP that meshes with her skating style, and it's really nice to see her adventures in choreography and skating skills paying off, because today, she performed that programme with attention to detail, using her full body to express the music. She has improved so much over time!

I loove Sasha's red look and I love her program. I must say I was worried that Danil-made program would again just not play to her strengths and not be really tailor-made for her. Now, I must say this is probably most individually-tailored program I have seen tonight. Not that I liked most of those I have seen. Still, I do really appreciate this one even more. Spanish music goes really great with her, allows her to truly perform without pretending someone she is not. Bingo for that! Otherwise, it seems more and more probable that when she finally hits that 3A in a competition, it will be the first succesfful 4A attempt ever. Beware, Yuzuru!
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I think this is going to be a superb short program. Brilliant choice of music. Powerful, dramatic and Sasha looks fierce in the red. Love it. Love her. She has really matured as a skater. Definitely a worthy Olympic program. I was more transfixed by her portrayal and her commitment to the choreography than her jumps and that in itself is so refreshing. That 3A will be explosive when she is able to land it clean. 🙏⚘❤

Very awesome performance by her I think. Didn't really even care about her quads but I think she performed the program well, it was entertaining to watch all the way through and I think fits her great.

Now I hope she has a very successful season because I think this program would make a great winner of the Olympics.
