I just updated Alexei's OP with several new videos, exhibition performances, and article links.

Bringing this thread back to congratulate Alexei on getting the job done at Worlds. He might not have skated his best programs ever, but he finished 10th, which was enough to secure two spots for Israel for the Olympics and Worlds! :cheer:

I'm so glad we will get to see both Alexei and Daniel at the Olympics!

I was really impressed with his LP this season. Glad he helped Israel secure those spots! :agree:

I really want to congratulate Alexei his 2nd position in team event sp. His Hava Nagila program is one of my favourites this season and he visibly enjoys it. The only thing I didn't enjoy were spins but it has never been his strong side. I wonder if they get small medals like in isu championships.

Alexei is always adorable and did a great job at the Team Event. Hopefully, he can repeat the showing in the individual event. :hap10:

I'm really glad for Bychenko that he's blossomed into a confident, stable late bloomer at the end of his career! To be honest, I remember first noticing him at the last Olys and I was not wowed by him, to put it mildly. Over the past couple years he's gotten so much better & when I saw him live, I really liked the power in his skating. It must have been amazing for him to carry the flag for Israel. I hope he will continue doing shows after he retires.

Alexei's SP in the team event at Oly Games made my day! :yahoo: Under such a enourmous pressure he skated not only great but so freely and joyously.:clap: Then he showed up during the opening ceremony as the national flag bearer proudly and gloriously. What a day for him! :dance3: My hats off to this dude.

So thrilled to see that Alexei's coming back for another season after all! Skate America and Finland for the GP series - should be fun. :)
