I loved Alina at junior RusNats this past winter! I can’t wait to see what she’ll do this season!!

Unfortunately, she injured herself and now is resting to heal a metatarsal. So no pictures with Alina in her bright 'firebird' free program dress.

A beautiful SP for Alina at Stage 4 of the Russian Cup, 2021.




She got a level 4 for her step sequence, and I think level 4s on all her spins. She has some lovely transitions into her jumps - the spread eagle into 2A and the Ina Bauer into the three turn entry for the flip are done well, and it's really cool to see her keep going into those quick twizzles after landing the flip without putting the free leg down.

Free program was quite nerve wrecking for her after that mistake, she looked very relieved to see a close victory.. overall she was great, hopefully she will get more recognition now.. although I'm not a big fan of her current FP, I think it doesn't suit her very well..

No celebration for Alina's 4S? First time in a competition, I believe, and success! Unfortunately she seemed very tired towards the end of the program and overall it wasn't a good result. Hopefully she will continue to fight.
