Alina's superpower is being able to ignore it all.
It is bizarre the way people (not fans) react to anything and everything connected to Alina.
What planet are you from if you see a video of Alina driving a car with her parent (like practically every other teenager on earth) during her holiday visit to her hometown and you think - 'I must notify the Izveskh police!'
PSA -If this is your reaction, you are crazy. Get help.
I thought this was the peak moment of 'not-fan' insanity. Wrong. They really out-did themselves when were tagging the Japanese Prime Minister in IG comments accusing Alina of plagiarism and stealing another skater's music. (Thanks Daniil!)
Some Alina fans get a lot of crap for being over zealous. I think it is almost always in response to 'not fans' behaving like lunatics on the internet, the Russian media being unfair and instigating something, or Alina not being given her fair share of credit for her accomplishments by FS elite. It's been two years since Alina won Olympic Gold. I think Besti has maybe complimented her twice? But only after she won Worlds. Sometimes I don't think they will ever get over it. Hopefully they have formed a support group to help them move through the stages of grief. I'm sure they'll get there someday.
Alina and her family maintaining a dignified silence in the face of all of this has only made her more beloved by the people who care about her.
