Alina Zagitova

Wow! Lucky you! I think everybody's green here... (just like this smiley) ... But very happy for you of course at the same time! :) It'd be fantastic if you could share some photos with us! :)
I don't have a lot of pics  other than the ones I posted on Instagram, I do have a bunch of short videos though. I wanted to record a long, continuous video but I was worried that my phone battery would drain and die (it almost did!). I'll put them together and share tomorrow :)

Quote from the article about the Dubai Ice Show on the Avangard club site:

"Important: the event is called the Dubai Ice Show. This name refers to the KHL match (December 3) and Tatyana Navka's ice show "Sleeping Beauty" (December 4-5). It was the KHL who called the skaters to Dubai. Alexander Krylov reports: "We were looking for opportunities to cover the costs, and in order to show Russia on the ice, we invited skaters to perform." The Sleeping Beauty attracts a mass audience. And solves the problem with attendance.

As Tatyana Navka tells about this show: “It is a great honour for us that the ice show of the NAVKA SHOW company was chosen for such a large-scale event and tens of thousands of residents and guests of the UAE will be able to enjoy our fairy tale, see figure skating legends with their own eyes.” A few days before the start of the show, she said that all tickets were sold out.

Navka does not hide the fact that "Sleeping Beauty" is going to Dubai precisely in connection with hockey. But it looks like this only formally. Figure skater Alina Zagitova will perform in Dubai - her arrival is comparable in importance to hockey. Zagitova constantly collaborates with Navka and has been performing in productions since the suspension of her career. We remind you: she has not yet officially ended it.

For the first time, Coca-Cola Arena is being rebuilt for events on ice. This will be a high-level test ice event for Dubai. Pouring ice for one hockey game only would've been difficult to implement, so hockey and figure shows go hand in hand. The Navka show is guaranteed to attract spectators, and holding a hockey match is a gamble."

From Keira on FSO -

At sports, in the blogs section, they brought a text version of this interview with Alina in Mexico https://www.instagram.com/p/CWyOaKLqlfE/

Presenter: what do you want in your future? After the Olympic season, after retirement. Do you want to be a coach? Would you like to be a coach?
Alina: I decided for myself that I will not make plans for the future. I always say that. Because we don't know where life will lead us at all. What will we do. And naturally, I like it in the field of journalism and television. Naturally and as a coach. I think that it is very worthy to pass on experience to the younger generation. It's important for me.

Presenter: You have a lot of fans here in Mexico. Do you like it here? What do you think?
Alina:Listen. I really liked it here. Because this is my first time in Mexico. And when fans even met me at the airport with banners with my name, toys, flowers. And there was such an interesting moment that they brought a column and turned on the music where "Alina Zagitova" was sung. It was super funny and enjoyable for me. And when I went all the way to Mexico, I realized that it is very warm here. I've even visited the sights already. These are the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. I was charged with positive emotions and energy. There is some incredible aura, I can't even describe it in words. But, of course, I came to study with children, to share my experience in a master class. And I can say that the children are trying very hard, they look me in the eyes. And it can be seen that they want to train, want to develop. It is a pleasure for me to study with them.
I am very pleased that I was invited and invited to master classes in such distant countries. I am very pleased with this.

Presenter: What are your impressions of Mexican figure skating at the moment?
Alina: At the moment, of course, she is slightly behind in development. But this is understandable, because there are completely different rules and it is quite difficult for coaches to exist and train within this framework. Therefore, at the moment for Mexico it is decent, worthy. And I can say that there are several athletes who jump and skate well.

Presenter: You have a lot of fans all over the world, what would you tell them? Probably from yourself to other people who want to be like you?
Alina: I would like to wish more. Naturally now health. Always go towards the goal that you have set for yourself. This is very important because it has saved me more than once. I set myself some tasks, goals, sometimes I write them. But I never tell anyone (laughs). And when they come true, this is a very good indicator for me. Naturally, live, be happy, be happy. And all the best to you.

Presenter: Thank you very much for the interview, for coming. It is very pleasant that you are here with us, passing on your knowledge.
Alina: muchas gracias

Alina talking about ice hockey.

Google translation:

They say that hockey is about strength, and figure skating is about art. 🤔

I think our winter sports are similar in many ways. And they are united not only by skates and ice 😅

Hockey is certainly also an art, an art of the game!

My father instilled in me a love for this sport since childhood: he taught me not to give up, play in a team, trained willpower ❤️

All the time she happily ran to the matches, watched the players' maneuverability, which any skater would envy, and watched the game as the coolest blockbuster 🇷🇺

So I got an eternal love for ice: even at the 2018 Olympics, figure skating and hockey won gold together! 🏆

On Ice Hockey's birthday, I want to wish our guys from the National Team future victories, and most importantly - to defend our gold medals at the Beijing Olympics! 🥇

Happy hockey day, friends!

And also, a neat gif from Black Swan.

"shh.agency:
Only a day in Moscow, and the emotions from the trip are still not letting go 🇲🇽

This trip was filled with professionalism, love for her work and Alina's boundless talent.

Thank you @azagitova for making the athletes fall in love with figure skating even more, not just showing them, but teaching them how to do something new on ice and ignite the bright fire of love for this sport in their eyes.

Observing how a real professional in their field works, giving themselves completely to athletes and work on ice, makes one want for even more people to have the opportunity to learn from the best.

And as life shows, nothing is impossible.
If we were able to get to Mexico, then other places on the planet no longer seem inaccessible😉

What country / city would you like to see Alina in? 🤗"
