Alina Zagitova

About Masaru situation;

I read the original article quoted by yatuvs. Just one specific misleading article and it made a fuss.
Actually, there are many upset comments below that, as the article says Alina is not going to live with Masaru and the dog will be kept at the link and the Russian Federation is going to take care of her.
The article was written by a Japanese online tabloids "Daily Shincho".
So, the article is lacking detailed information and leaving lots of rooms for people to imagine things in bad ways.

If Masaru will live in Sambo-70, I can’t help imagining her eating Eteri’s expensive Louis Vuitton bag. :cool14:

Alina Kabaeva talking about Alinka

-Let's talk about Alina Zagitova , did you know or meet her?

- I watched her performance at the Olympics, worried about her, wished her victory. Then I did not know that she was called Alina in my honor, it's very pleasant for me. I spoke with her after an unsuccessful World Cup, I said -do not give up, do not relax, it's your way. If you give up - you'll just be one of many Olympic champion, if not - you will be a real person

Thanks for the translation. Wow! Very glad that Alina got words of wisdom from her idol after Worlds. Have they met already? I recall Alina saying that her wish is to meet Alina (Kabaeva) in person.

Did she get the puppy?

How is Alina going to take care ofbthe dog when she trains 6 days a week? Akita puppies need alot of attention. To ask her grandma to take of this dog is askng alot.

My favorite rythmic gymnast and my favorite figure skater are friends. Nice.

Hi everybody! I have been a lurker in this forum for a long time and i had not been encouraged to write until now (english is not my first language). I love Alina of course and i wish her all the best.

Today i was in twitter looking for images and stuff of Alina and i found some Japanese news, from google translation: "[Sad news] Zagitova-san, was a diplomatic tool for Japan and Russia to impose the presented Akita dog to the Skating Federation..." (i don't know how to post the link without being banned).

I also found another article from pingjapan:

Some fans are upset because Masaru will not live with Alina. I know her schedules are tight, but it seems unfair they are denying her the opportunity to raise Masaru. All of us were wondering how all her pets will be receiving the dog and it's sad to imagine the puppy will live at the rink.

It would be great if the Japanese fans could provide more context or accurate info for nor making assumptions. Thank you in advance. :)

Hello.!
I've only read one blog about this from pingjpan. Normally, if it's a blog there would be a link to a proper news article about the topic (to some reliable news outlet where you can also see the comments and upvote/downvote them)--which they did not provide. It would be helpful to confirm if such news indeed is true if there is an official article about it. The link to an article is also important to verify the top comments which the blog included. If there is an article, I would assume it to be in Japanese but so far I only found this
https://topics.smt.docomo.ne.jp/article/dailyshincho/sports/dailyshincho-541815

But then we can't really say that this is 100% true (including the comments).

It is amazing. One golden Alina to another golden Alina.

I wonder what Madison thinks of this?

It turns out that the future figure skating star, whose name is spoken with awe by millions of people around the world, lived for almost a year without one. Her parents took this task very seriously and for a long time couldn't pick the right option for their child. One day, they saw the legendary Alina Kabaeva on TV and understood that they would name their daughter in her honor.

If only they knew then that their daughter would become an Olympic champion, like Kabaeva. ;)

1) her training day is no longer than working day of ordinary person
2) in her periscope videos we can see that they have long breaks between trainings and often are boring at that time
3) dog don't need a lot of place at night when it's sleeping so Alina can take Masaru from rink to apartments for night time

Alina loves animals and has the kindest heart, she would never put Masaru in a situation that endangers her or makes her unhappy.

Look at her face when she saw the puppies https://instagram.com/p/Bir4tQPjxU3/

I’m sure that Masaru will be much loved and well cared for, let’s wait and see what actually happens when they finally meet face to face [emoji190]❤️

Happy Mother’s Day to Alina’s Mom, Leysan, who raised (and is still raising) two beautiful, fierce, kind and compassionate daughters.

May they have a great day together having fun and enjoying life.

And happy Mother’s Day to all the other Moms out there. ❤️

Masaru - the hero we didn't know we needed but the hero we really needed all along!

I read comments on IG about some Japanese fans who were concerned about Masaru's well being. As if Alina would treat the dog as a toy or not take care of it and the dog would be neglected and abandoned at the rink. Seriously?

First of all, Alina lives in Moscow. I've never been to Moscow but I feel safe in saying that there are any number of vets, groomers, personal dog trainers, obedience schools, pet boarding facilities, professional dog walkers, probably even dog day care centers, available in that city. I'm sure any one of these would be more than THRILLED to offer their services to dog belonging to the Olympic Gold Medalist that was gifted to her by Japan. The dog that had its own press conference that the Russian and Japanese media have been writing about for the 3 months!

I'm sure the Rus Fed would be happy to pick up the bill for these services or anything else the dog needs, although the image of them scooping dog poop amuses me.

Masaru being at Sambo during the day is a million times better than the dog waiting at home for Alina. (Iriska agrees.)

I wish I could find the link to the video interview with Alina where she was asked who would take care of the dog when she was not able to. A perfectly reasonable question and I was waiting for her to say 'my grandmother'. According to the translation that was given she said that this dog was so special to her she would try not to need anyone else to take care of it. I'm paraphrasing from memory, but it was something like that. Not exactly realistic, but very much from her heart.

Of all the things we can choose to worry about Masaru being cared for is not one of them! Unless she gets Eteri's Louis Vuitton....

I guess where Masaru will be at night is what concerns fans.
Dogs are naturally very teritorial and gregarious animals, you can't really be one's owner and live/sleep at another place.

I guess we will have to see. Hopefully the rumor about the new apartment is true.

I believe that Alina and her family will do whatever they need to do to make this work. Just as they did for Alina's skating career.

Personally I think Alina would sleep at the skating rink before she allowed her puppy to sleep there by itself.

I will fly to Russia and walk that dog myself if that’s what needs to happen to get Alina this puppy! Hey RusFed, maybe help upgrade your gold medal athletes apartment and spring for a dog walker/trainer. This puppy is part of international diplomacy, maybe make the whole process a priority and figure it out.
