Alina Zagitova

Will need to wait for the Japanese speakers here. But from my very limited reading of the subs, she couldn’t find a word at first then blurted out that he is “strange/weird”, like doubtful of this “Hanyu”.

I wonder what WTF???? translates to in Japanese.

I've just watched the cutest and nicest human being on TV ever.:drama:

If this girl somehow manages to stay on top for a bit longer, she'll get immensely popular and (hopefully) rich. She's natural media talent both physically and psychologically, she almost radiates positive vibes through the screen! :gclap:

She really does have that 'it' factor. She's definitely a natural with a lot of charisma.

I hope she can have a long, successful skating career but I am just as curious to see what opportunities come her way outside of skating. She's a joy to watch.

I tried Tim Hortons(if thats what you mean) when I was in Toronto. It's probably the only fast food I liked in my entire life

It's actually very bad haha. For Canadians, it's known as coffee and donuts for meetings where your boss is being very cheap  Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts down south in the states is much better

Also the videos with Alina skating through the poles places so close together - who said she didn't have skating skills?

That’s so cool, I admire the Russian language so much, it has great sound and rhythm. Wish I could have a first hand coach like your Dad to learn it from.

You’ll be speaking with Alina in no time.

Haha, maybe one day I'll shout hello to get from the stands :)

I nominated her to play wonder woman prequel.....Born to be action movie star..

Hollywood has truck load of movie about woman action hero, if Alina ever quit skating, she could consider going to Hollywood...Her cute voice with sexy Russian accent definitely help.

Hi everybody! I have been a lurker in this forum for a long time and i had not been encouraged to write until now (english is not my first language). I love Alina of course and i wish her all the best.

Today i was in twitter looking for images and stuff of Alina and i found some Japanese news, from google translation: "[Sad news] Zagitova-san, was a diplomatic tool for Japan and Russia to impose the presented Akita dog to the Skating Federation..." (i don't know how to post the link without being banned).

I also found another article from pingjapan:
Alina Zagitova Will Not Be Raising Her Akita Dog ‘Masaru
Olympic gold medalist Alina Zagitova (15) lives together with her grandma in an apartment in Moscow, separated from her family back in her hometown due to training. Alina raises a cat and two chinchillas with her grandma, recently being gifted an Akita dog from the Akita Dog Preservation Society because of her interest in the dog and hard work at the Olympics.

Because of Alina’s busy overseas schedules, she cannot take care of her Akita dog, Masaru.

“It’s no problem to raise an Akita dog even for a young girl like herself but to protect the flow of her lifestyle, she can feed and walk the dog at scheduled times. It doesn’t take a long time to walk the dog even though it’s a large breed, the same is true for both Shiba dogs and Akita dogs. If she takes the dog on a 30-minute walk, it’ll be just fine”

“It’s true that the Figure Skating Federation Of Russia will fully take care of Masaru. Her home is cramped so she’s unable to take care of it but, a doghouse will be built for her at the skating rink as she practices there. We think the kids and coach of the club will love it and want to accept it, so we believe it’s a great way to raise the dog”

Some fans are upset because Masaru will not live with Alina. I know her schedules are tight, but it seems unfair they are denying her the opportunity to raise Masaru. All of us were wondering how all her pets will be receiving the dog and it's sad to imagine the puppy will live at the rink.

It would be great if the Japanese fans could provide more context or accurate info for nor making assumptions. Thank you in advance. :)

Hello, yatuvs!
This new article about Masaru is strange. I think it's just some sort of misunderstanding. So, do not worry in advance and don't believe everything you read.:)
Russian Federation will take care of the dog, seriously? They have nothing to do or what? Does japanese journalist or person who said those words (it looks like someone's qoute, but no name of person who said it) imagine that RusFed will hire special person for this? Or maybe Gorshkov, Kogan and Lakernik themselves will walk with Masaru, that would be nice.
I remember reading here info from japanese media that Masaru will live at the rink, but so far i don't believe it. I can imagine Alina saying that there will be special place for her dog there and she will take Masaru with her during training(if true - that's great idea and thanks to the manager of the rink if they really allow this) , or maybe the dog will stay at the rink while she is away for competitions. But living at the rink full time - i will believe it only when i hear it from Alina or more reliable source. Btw, in one of her interviews she said that she considers hiring professional kinologist to help her with Masaru.
And also i hope her living conditions will be improved soon enough. New rumor on fso says that new apartments will be gifted to Alina and Evgenia, no idea if it's true or not, we'll see.

Interesting, what did she say about fake Hanju ???

1:00:00-1:00:01

Her face was -whaat ?:scratch2::laugh:

From her dubbed voice and caption on the screen, she seemed to have said something like this:

"Hanyu? But wait...something is strange."

Actually this guy, Hanyu Yuzurenai, a comedian with a twisted name of Hanyu Yuzuru, is a former hockey player.
Pictures of Yuzurenai with Alina and other skaters on his twitter account:

When I was watching the TV show, I was afraid if she was bewildered by the "fake Hanyu moment",
but relieved to see her warm smile with Yuzurenai in the above picture.:)
