Alina Zagitova

160,46 - Evgenia, but Alina now has the highest score of the season at an ISU event (although Evgenia is yet to skate her FS clean) :)

160? you treat that seriously? It was the same performance as usual, judges just gave high goe on everythig and too much pcs for no reason

Congratulations for Alina. TES was amazing.

I answered the question with the correct answer. :rolleye:
Also, this thread is not the place for annoying whining about make-believe overscoring of Evgenia's performances.

They should do something with her SP though, she has failed her SP 3 times in a row now.

Congratulations to Red Ballerina!
That was SOME free skate!

I think it's just nerves, she can skate it clean in practise. I do think it's slightly manic though, I'm not a fan of the choreography :/ they would do better to move the combination jump to the beginning of the program.

When Alina gets her SP to go like FS there will be real fight for olympic gold medal with Medvedeva.
And i don't know either to bet my money:scratch2:

First taste of that we will see on Europeans.

I have to say that both Eteri and Daniil look really ok and supportive with Alina.
Maybe Eteri has moments when she's really strict, but this is because she's really professional and business minded.
And she wants her students to achieve something.

New interview with Alina....http://fsrussia.ru/intervyu/3380-al...oyavlyat-zhestkost-potomu-chto-eto-sport.html
She's so sweet, such a lovely personality, a "heart" person.
If I understood correctly, she said that they'll make some changes in the short program in order to make it more comfortable.
I wonder what kind of changes though? jumps, layout or choreo?

Interesting moments:
1) She performed her SP in training already about 100 times, and she still doesn't understand why she fails in competition (definitely nerves)
2) She thinks her SP character suits her more than FS
3) She looks up to gymnasts (Kabaeva)
4) She is always nervous before the start, but when she stands in the starting position everything just goes away completely (like in training).
5) When people start clapping in her FS it gives her confidence boost. (Sam L now you know what to do at the Olympics )
6) At the beginning her FS was very hard for her, she couldn't even perform a step sequence, but then she got used to it.
7) They are probably going to change her SP a little bit to make it more comfortable for her.
8) She was very excited to see Shoma, Yuzu, Javier, etc in last year's JGPF.
9) She would like to perform to something like tango, she thinks she's really good at it.
10) She tries not to read media, but knows that they are trying to compare her with Medvedeva all the time.

Thank you, Russianfan!
I have to disagree with her, I think that Kitri suits her better
What I understood is that she, in her private life, is very gentle and would like to become more combative... I suppose the short program is about that, her transformation and the coaches are pointing to that... It's just my interpretation, though.
Another interesting point for me it was that referring to food. She buys all sorts of delicious food for her pets and says to them: Eat, you don't have to jump :O. (if I understood correctly with google translate).
And I recall she had many pics with cakes on her Instagram
If they take tango, hope it's not next season, cause it will be the short for ice dancers, so too common.
