Alina Zagitova

Thanks for the report. I really appreciate it :agree:
How is she with the other skaters? Sometimes she looks not very socially engaged with them, as yesterday night at the draw...

I read in an interview that she dislikes "noisy companies" and I imagine she likes to keep herself to herself. I think she's friends with the other skaters in Eteri's group and she's been in some of Daria's Instagram Live videos.

BUT in real life Alina speaks and communicates like not 15 but 12-13 year old girl.
I guess I heard this yesterday on Telesport live.
It looks like you didn't get the post of LoveSkater
it looks like they didn't get everything. And making buzz from nothing. Two guys are tying a knot from Alina's "olimpiyka", they are helping her actually, not trying to undress her, they are protectng her from severe winter cold, that she didn't caught a cold. And she praising them patted them back. Soon we'll get overall denying of sexuality. Damn scary world. Brilliant avatar, btw. I desperately tried to choose USSR in country's list here, but it seems I have to choose it via avatar.

If this is the real idea, it means that the photo and the concept are bad because they don't express that, really. In my view, it's clear that they wanted to present her in a sexy image and the subliminal message is sexiness... look at her hands: they are on that guys, the position of the bodies... all conclude to other type of image than that they wanted to express (the protecting thing etc). Rather the image suggests that she is presented as a sexual object as it was before commented here.
In general, we associate sport with discipline, rigor, strictness....and this kind of photos expresses the opposite and therefore the image of an athlete could be easily damaged.

Was it discussed on Telesport about this picture?
Yes, but between fans. And I checked on sports.ru for so much advertised negative reaction as my commrades narrated. Well, I don't see there so much negative. As always opinions divided. I remember which stills could be taken directly from the skating program, there are very provocative angles and nuances. Poses... details. And that's OK, right? So don't judge too strict. Better help me to set up an avatar. I can't find a button for it. -)

I don't know... maybe the new picture of Alina? lol

I don't judge too strict, but I hope I will never see this kind of photos from Alina's part. Unless she wants to give up sport and follow another career in the glossy magazines.

They are very negative but luckily not towards Alina, but generally "adults" who did not take care of her (but rather exploited her instead.) Alina herself almost doesn't get negative comments.

If she continues on the same path, she will also start to get negative comments.

I have to say that I don't like Medvedeva's skating, but I really respect her ... the way she deals with nerves and the she managed her image is just wow.
Also, in the latest Daniil's interview he pointed out that the success didn't change her at all. Apparently he bets on her to stay at the top many years from now, even though there are other skaters with more difficult tech content.

Alina is skating first in her group. Right after the warm-up. Hopefully it's an advantage and a good sign. In Grenoble she had a great warm-up , but waited long for her skate. It didn't end well. Now it's time to deliver clean SP. She can do it!

Alina's going to get some heat for her scores in the Nationals Short Program. To be fair, it's not as bad as people are making out to be. Her presentation was the best this season IMO and the except for the minor mistake in the Lo it was really perfect.

I think that PCS - wise it was her best short program

This girl will kill me one day...
What is she saying in this article? https://rsport.ria.ru/figure_skating/20171222/1130442557.html
If I understand correctly she states that this is just a minor mistake.... I wish she will acknowledge that this/these minor mistake(s) might cost her important medals. Every detail is important.
After that she's saying something that she has to be in the first three (??) Doesn't she know that only the first 2 qualify for Europeans?
And at the end she says she feels sleepy because of the acclimatization. I don't get the link to the sense of accomplishment she's talking about after GPF.
In conclusion, I think that she needs asap a reality check and a wake-up call.
And maybe her team should reconsider the layout for the short program. I cannot see her landing everything clean in the short at the Olympics if she doesn't do it right now.

I don't find the scores overly inflated. I think it's just something natural for a national competition.
She got around 76 at the GPF and there she also had a mistake... so 78 here ... I cannot see the problem.

Well, yes. All girls are pushed at these nats. Just look at Sotskova's pcs compared to the GPF final.
And Alina did not fall. She had a terrible landing, but supported herself on her palms. It's not considered a fall.
I also like it that she did not seem so depressed after not so perfect skate- like she sometimes does (Lombardia, China).

I don't know if this is so good, now that I associate with what she was saying in the interview: the sense of accomplishment after GPF and also the attention she gets from the media. Hope she'll not get in the other extreme and not care at all about her skating. I think she needs a strict coaching in these moments.
