Please, people, where did you take that nonsence there is no washroom? That flat is typical block one room apartment with kitchen and washroom, we call it 1+1. The fact that does not match your expectations doesn't mean its not enough for two modest people.
Remember one thing. Figure skating in USA or Canada is sport mostly for people coming from rich families who can afford to pay for training and all. So when sometimes you see them at home, you see residencies and luxury, and that can make you think that is standard all over the world. In Europe and more significant in Middle and Eastern Europe figure skating is a sport for everyone who has talent, which of course doesn't always match with wealth.
As for the living, many of my friends and classmates in my country spent many years in a flat like this, when e. g. their family was from other city and they studied high school in big city like Prague. One of my closest friends lived in a flat like this with his mother (divorced) till he finished university, than he spent several years in Finland (he is great at math) and for the money he earned abroad he finally bought bigger appartment.
So, maybe this is not what match expectations of some westerners (who too often want to recreate all world by their idea, IMHO), and maybe she really deserves better, but how long is she OG champion. A little more than a month. Tiil now she lived where she lived, which is not considered so bad in society she comes from, just the fact she is not living in residence with ten useless unused rooms with furniture covered with sheet (and where horrors take place
) and with french maids taking care of all that unused space does not mean its so bad. Lets give her time and let her decide what she shall do with her money she got for her hard work.
Case closed.
