I don't think we should take this too seriously. But it does sound insane, I agree. Like, men and ladies figure skating are totally different scores wise. Why, just why?
Well, if you can't bring any arguments as to why you think this way, I'm not sure how exactly you want to get your point across, I'm sorry. I'm all for an open discussion but this way, I think it's really better if we leave TAT behind and focus on something else.

it's dumb as hell tbh! there's no correlation between the two. figure skating fs is a mess! people seem to think being edgy is cool lol i mean this forum tends to be a mess too but twitter is just something else!
(notice how that Ilona girl is leading the movement of comparing yuzuru's scores to alina's, as expected

Why debate about who is more negative
BTW I watch today a little bit of JPG Ostrava (I usually don't watch it a lot, but now i see it everywere bc I'm from CZE), and I'm only more impress by Alina. Yes some of the girls there did really well, but many of them are older and more experienced internationaly than Alina and it's not possible to compare this girls. Yes I know each body is different, not everybody is able to jump like a boss etc, but she look so much more mature and flawless when just skate. This little young lady is really amazing.

If you don't want to mute Ilona send her a tweet asking her to compare Alina's score to Virtue and Moir's from their Olympic performance. It makes about a much sense as what she is doing now and has no relevance to anything whatsoever, but it will give her something to keep busy. Hate on, Ilona! Do not let facts and reason stand in your way!

By the way, I realized that surprisingly our public TV noticed there is JGP event in Czech Republic and they are broadcasting JGP from Ostrava. And the commentary made me appreciate Ted even more than before
I don't say commentators are bad, they even appreciated Alëna how she handled the rest of the program after she popped 2A (and praising russian athlete in our TVs is something really very, very rare), but they just lack Ted's positivism.

I think we'll leave this behind now and think of something good now. Like seeing Alina in her Carmengitova FS dress tomorrow! :luv17: Personally, I'm hoping for red, it's just her colour. When exactly is she skating tomorrow? I wonder whether I'll be able to watch it live. Today I didn't jinx her so hopefully it will be the same for tomorrow. But I don't know whether my poor nerves will stand watching a whole FS. I was so nervous already when it was just the short program.

Her long program will be somewhere between solid and very good and that's all she needs at this point in the season. Alina had a very good start today.

It's sad If you think it's OK when she praises the air her "favorite skaters" breathe "whatever they do" and in the same time bashing other skaters....
In my book it's a hypocrisy.

I don't like hypocrites. So, I guess we should finish up. And sorry, I will continue to be "that negative" about hypocritical people and their hypocritical statements.

I think we are all just so relieved that she didn't find a way to slaughter Alina's performance or passive-agressively dish out her usual back handed compliments. What TAT said sounded border-line fair and reasonable compared to what we've been getting. Granted she couldn't have set the bar much lower than - Alina wins Gold medal at Olympic Games. TAT weeps uncontrollably on National Television and says she wanted Zhenya. :sad4:
And she hasn't really redeemed herself from that moment. Alina just didn't give her anything today that she could get her claws into.:taunt:
It's just the beginning of the season. We've got months of TAT inflicted irritation to look forward to. It's coming. I'm sure of it. But we will get through it together.

I love how supportive Daniil is. I wish he was with Alena today tho, she seemed to need one of his bear hugs
I was proud of Eteri today. She seemed supportive and dare I say it? Almost cuddly!
