I just watch some stories on IG aand It's nice to see Daniil and Alina together again! Looking forward to k&c today but more I'm looking forward to see POTO. In the time since Alina skate it in Nebelhorn I was at POTO at the theater so I definitelly understand more the story than before, so I'm wondering what emocions it brings me.
 
She looks so solid!
And I also loved pictures/videos of her interaction with Eteri and Daniil, it's quite clear that they have good friendly relaxed relationship between the 3 of them. I think they provide very good support for Alina.
 
It baffles me how she can land this difficult combo day in day out perfectly as if it was nothing at all! Sasha has an explosive 3Lz-3Lo but Alina’s will always be “the one and only for me“ :biggrin: She just has that flow in and out of it that I appreciate while watching a jump. It’s not too slow but also not to hectic.

Even though I still have to admit that my secret love is her Rippon-3F.😅 It‘s just magical when she hits it right on to the beat of the music everytime. I would actually prefer it if she tacked that 2T-2Lo onto something else in the FS, just for my selfish reasons so that I can watch the beauty of another solo 3F. :luv17:

(I‘m just kidding, her layout is obviously fine the way it is. :laugh: )

Thank you for this embarrassment of riches my friend.

It's great to see the whole gang back together, Daniil and Eteri rink side is simply the best.

I'm still curious as to why they "unmarried" that 3F landing from the music bang, she did it to the beat during the shows (The Ice) in Japan but since the first competition they changed the placement of the landing. It's obvious she can land it on the beat so it is a conscious choice not to do it. Are they maybe place holding for something in the future? Something that would take longer to set up (or perform) and then would not be on the beat anyway? That last would make sense since by doing this intentionally it is now a choice so if in the future the layout gets altered by something that can't be landed on the beat it doesn't look like a mismatch.

I ask myself the same question, if the shift of the 3F means they intend to put a combo there or what.

My first thought when I first saw it was: they plan to flip (no pun intented) the 3F with the 3Lz+3Lo and place the combo as the last jumping pass. Then they didn't do it, she obviously doesn't need it now, her scores are solid and that would be risky.

Guess we will have to wait and see, if they make the switch somewhere else in the season or if they add something completely different there (not another combo because the SP can only have one).

Inquiring minds want to know Daniil and Eteri....:)
 
Maybe if she misses 3Lz-3Lo that she can tack on the loop on the 3F and the choreography afterwards isn‘t affected? Otherwise I have no idea. I honestly thought the video was lagging and didn‘t even consider that they moved the 3F because it‘s normally one of her trademarks that she always lands it on the beat... weird.

People in competition thread think that Eteri plan for Alina is to be "rude" and "disrespectful" during the practice, disturb another skaters ,
dont give ,as they said,"f#@$ing way" for another girls :laugh:

When I first saw that they “unmarried” the 3F, I tough that she missed the right note... but now that you came up with this... It’s a possibility that they are doing this on purpose.

But I still think she just missed the right note, getting late to set up the jump. Only happend at Nebelhorn and now in this practice video, because, like you mentioned she did it to the beat during the The Ice and the Test Skates.
I think she just missed the beat, but we will have a better idea after the SP today.
If you catch up the idea earlier and they are really doing this on purpose, I’m curious to see reason... maybe the combo into the second half?
Doesn’t seems that for me since she doesn’t need that 10% on the BV and the risk is not worthy. It seems more enjoyable the 3F on the beat and there’s bullet 6: “element matches the music” for positive GOE. And the 3F on the beat is the highlight for me. So, I just think she missed two times and will correct it. But if you are correct, Lusk8, you have great eyes (as we say in my country!!!)

We are talking about that last jump, 3F, on POTO. During "The Ice" (Japan Ice Show) she landed it right when the music "banged", she would jump up on the "swell" and then land on the "bang", since the first competition she was in this season the landing changed place. She now jumps during the bang and lands after it. Clearly intentional. We were wondering about the why of it.

PS: People on the competition thread are crazy if they think this, Skate America had a full on the ice collision between Satoko and Kaori during Satoko's run through, nothing intentional of course, close calls happen when people are focused and in their own world. Bunch of really great top skaters, moving around at warp speed, practicing at the same time with the same intensity, it gets busy.
