Not every day works out. Maybe really she had some problems back or other. She said though that is not something serious. I think she was affected a lot by the judging in France. Within 10 days between the two GPs, it looks that she worked harder. The difference was visible, better-rotated jumps more focused entrance to Lutzes. We may just watch the outcome but we don't realize how difficult those improvements are in reality and what is the cost. This was for me the psychological discomfort (thinking). Also, the competitive side and enjoyment side are like opposites that are in constant conflict, which normally bothers you.
For the SP and the investment. I think she trains a bit different than the other girls now and a bit different than she trained before. Judging by the jump layouts form official training both in Grenoble and Sapporo if I'm not mistaken she didn't train 3F-3Lo which she occasionally did last season and the seasons before. So when the time came to do it under pressure she didn't deliver it. Both the entry and exit from her flip are difficult I think for adding 3Lo without training it before. Even 2Lo would have been enough to score in the 70s but I guess from the point she didn't add it to the Lutz she had in mind how to add 3Lo to 3F. And to change your mind just before the take-off to do just a double, it doesn't look so easy.
There can be cons and prons in the approach to not do the 3F-3Lo in official training. If your lutz-loop is consistent enough then to train 3f-3lo may mentally lead you to the safeness of messing your lutz and not enter it with big determination. On the other hand, if you do not train it, then the probability of not do it in the competition is high.
As for the next competition they have to secure the step sequence level in her FS. Add some more elements as she had in previous seasons. So that if she misses one or does it poorly, the rest to be enough. The same for the spins. Those are some points that will start to be significant in the upcoming events. And of course, keep and improve the jumping abilities.
To her 3F3Lo, do you remember where she did that? I can't remember it and I don''t remember anyone to do so to be honest and I would love to look for it. I'd love to see how it looks.
Is it one of Tatiana Navka's shows? Are those shows publishes anywhere? I know Lipnitskaya played (or is going to play) Cinderella for Navka's show, also Sotnikova was Ludmila in "Ruslan and Ludmila".
Any way to watch them on the web?

November 28th - Thanksgiving
I give thanks for everyday for having the chance to watch Alina skate and in this special day of Thanksgiving I couldn't let it go by without including her in my "Special Things to be Thankful for".
I'm thankful to have witnessed Alina conquer her All Major Tittles, as both a Junior and a Senior ,Figure Skating Grand Slam, a feat she was the youngest ever to achieve and only the second Lady in modern Figure Skating to do so.
It took a lot of fight, perseverance, grace, overcoming difficulties, talent and plenty of grit, to get to this historical mark. The journey to the last major tittle, the World Championship 2019, was hard and tested Alina's resolve and capacity to the max, this only made the ultimate conquest more significant and special.
Being able to go through this long journey with you, Alina, has made my year extra special.
Alina's kind hearted nature is an inspiration for me to try to be a better person each day, her talent and the magic she brings to each one of her skates are an inspiration to work harder and work better.
Her happiness is so pure and sincere that it warms my heart and brings happiness to me also, so thank you Alina for that. For showing that we can find extreme joy in others achievements and in seeing they conquer their highest dreams.
Through it all Alina remained the same magical girl that caught my eye as she entered her Junior Season, and yet, she has matured and transformed into a beautiful and amazing young lady.
Thank you Alina for showing that we can grow, make our dreams come true, and still remain grounded and kind to all others, unchanged in our essence even as we reach highs that most can only dream of.
For this year, as it has been in the past three and will be in the many more years to come, I'm thankful to see you grow even further as a person.
I'm thankful to witness your continued development as a figure skating, as a performer, each time bringing a new special and inspiring performance that takes my breath away.
Your career goals are now your own, you have nothing left to prove, not that you ever needed to prove anything in the first place, so cherish the amazing gift you have to touch many souls and may that gift bring you lots of happiness. Always.
To me happiness will always be in any chance I'll get to see you skate, be it in a show or in a competition, for me the joy and the amazement are always the same.
Thank you Alina for showing that good things do indeed come to those who deserve and for making me believe that magic is real, has your name and is skating right in front of me.
Happy thanksgiving you all!!
Happy thanksgiving Alina!!!
