I'm glad Alina is happy, she made this choice of all, but it's not the "Alina's only and permanent choice". Again, this should be taken as a break or vacation of a kind (with a load of work to do and learn), not as an emergency exit.

I felt weird because Rusnats without her is losing part of the feeling.

Rusnat is the most stressful event. Alina struggled last year and I don’t want to see that again and to be honest I really think the 3A will be at Europeans and worlds. She knows she can’t compete with them now without a quad or a 3A.

Taking a break was the best decision. She knows what is the best thing to do, she has to prevent herself mentally and physically.

From Alyona's interview, asked about Alina skipping from RusNats and if she misses seeing her face among others from 4A:

"Alina keeps training nowadays, we see each other there".

Wow! She looks amazing! I think that this break was such a good decision for her - she's having fun, skating for the enjoyment of it, without the stress and pressure of Russ Nats, and every single video and photo shared to her fanfest has shown her radiant with delight. Wish I could see her in this show, but I am happy to live vicariously through the content shared so generously here.

And she is probably making good money too, as well as increasing her artistic range, making new contacts in (show) business and upper layers of society. All in all a good career move.

And when Navka can get the show to Japan, it will really start rolling, because perhaps there isn't such a thing in Japan even?

Really, can’t they stop asking about silly things ? Alina is not retiring, she keeps training, she only decided to skip 3 Competitions. It’s not difficult to understand. Our girl needs a break from competition, not from skating.

I’m glad Alena is such a smart girl.

Navka said Alina learns fast. And Alina does indeed seem to be very eager in learning new things and not letting the troupe and paying audience down, as seems fitting to her character of humble dedication to the job at hand.

She is not a star yet, but may turn into one once she finds her inner self as a stage performer.

She only decided to skip one competition - RusNats. EC and Worlds are just consequences, as she said that she is always selected on the EC/Worlds team on sports principle (i.e. not through vote of coaches' council).

Alina is a real beauty, Navka did well for choosing her. She’s a hard working girl always fulfilling her duties.

Consider that Alina spends some 6-8 hours in Khrustalnyi AND then she goes to Navka to train for the show. When she does even sleep?
