I was hoping for new costumes as well. But given the amount of alterations she had to make to her Sleeping Beauty dress during the course of the show to be able to consistently jump while wearing it, I understand why she might have deliberately chosen costumes she was 100% sure of.

I still wish for the Outros dress for Hallelujah, but I admit the black lace looks good with Bastian's suit. :) Maybe that is why it got picked.

Believe me live looks even better and yes it matched with the rest of the dancers and Rebecca as well. of course a new dress will have been welcomed but in the perspective of the show, which was not a figure skating audience in it’s majority, it was effective since they don’t know what Alina was wearing last season.

True. At first I had to 'let go' of seeing her as Christine in it. Now I only see it as beautiful dress that perfectly expresses the mood for Glitter and Gold. :)

I also have another theory about Alina choosing to wear her own costumes. After seeing some of the other performers' costumes (the dancers more so than the skaters), it is entirely possible that Alina (or her mother) decided - 'yeah...no.' Just saying.

Sometimes the drastic measures are necessary from the long-term perspective, whether it concerns the top politics or the lady's wardrobe :biggrin:

Well, I'm glad she's wearing her old costumes because they still fit her.
Which disproves the twitter trolls that claim she has gotten fat.

Listen, omg, those poor trolls! I thought they didn’t like Alina, why are they tracking every show she visits?
I’m pretty sure they’re watching all the fancams from FreeSkater, and those shows last hours!

Those are some closeted Alina fans! Trolls, you should stop resisting it and give into who you all really are - you love Alina, don’t you!

Elladj Balde’s mom, who’s russian, posted a comment to Alina!
She said she’s been in love with Alina ever since she first saw her on international scene, that she was always rejoicing when Alina achieved her wins, and was always worried for Alina during her hardships and that she always believed in Alina!
And now she’s so happy to see Alina and her son Elladj skating together in a show and she’s very proud of the both.

Wow, what a lovely message. Alina touching hearts of so many people!

That melts my heart. Elladj is an amazing skater. A true artist. I love that Alina shares that moment of skating with him in such a touching number.
