Alina's post about haters:

is in reference to the smear campaign started by a piece of :poop: that calls himself a journalist, Imamov, that posted slander and quickly retracted it.

"Wanted to talk today about some important stuff.⚡

About hate. I have long wanted to write this post, to talk about it in some way. But the topic is so taxing that every time you think - oh well, should I really ...

Popularity has a downside. On the one hand, I feel the support and love of my fans, they recognize me, I happily take pictures and give autographs, and receive so many warm words from you here - every day! It really energizes me and I want to be genuine with you and be better than I am today. I feel that we are going along this path together!

But ... there is another side. I am mentioned and hated in comments on the net🤬, the media write strange articles, take me apart by the bones, what I've said, what I wear, where I went, there is no privacy, and my boundaries are often quite rudely violated🥵

The information is sometimes so twisted that I even think that this is probably such a superability that some people have

But there is no responsibility in the internet, sometimes there are not even actual persons, there is no signature. Information is retold and spread at a terrifying speed. 😔

What I want to say is, any situation has two sides. Each of us is a living person who can and should defend our personal boundaries.

I am glad that my space here, with you, is free of this. ❤️Thank you very much for your support and love🥰"

Ok I made a request to the portal of knowledge - Google - to understand a bit of the context of Alina's post and was quickly disgusted. I only gleaned a little from the short English summaries but a young person (Alina has a lot of poise and maturity but she is only 19) should not have to put up with this. Heck no one should even if they are famous (maybe politicians :cautious: ) and certainly all the athletes we honour and admire here don't. Even if you prefer one over another, don't like their skating style or whatever no reason to throw mud at them.

It annoys me how that heaping pile of … gets to lie, Alina gets a ton of bad media coverage and then he simply changes his statement.
At first he claimed “I was just filming the audience, Alina just happened to be in the shot and she got pissed”
Later we learn that he wasn’t “just filming the audience”, in fact he followed her into the hallway, then into the bathroom and a parking lot and kept filming her. Not only does he himself admit that, others from the event said the same thing. Of course she’d be upset and want him to get off her. Would anyone else just be okay with stalking? But then he goes out and lies about it and only admits the truth when the damage is already done.

She still held herself back even in this statement. I wouldn’t have been able to.

Alina will have to hold back even more because the smear campaign is revving up - apart from the :poop: heads from sports.ru that - of all people - blame Alina in their hit piece, Kogan, Besti and uber-Alina-hater Utkin have joined in; and as usual they'll go through the whole list of 'experts' to milk all the hype they can get.
