Olympic champion in figure skating Alina Zagitova responded to the high-profile story of the murder of Kuzya the cat, tortured by the animal abusers in Severodvinsk. The athlete made an appeal to take care of animals:
"I like animals a lot. There is so much devotion, so much adoration and understanding in these eyes. They are my family, and they are truly our little brothers.
Recently I learned about the terrible situation with the cat Kuzya from Severodvinsk, who was brutally tortured. It hurts me that such a thing can happen in our world. It is important that people know that this is unacceptable."
