Anastasia Mishina & Aleksandr Galliamov

Hi @flanker. Daria? You mean Nastya of course.

Of course :palmf:
(This happens to me all the time. I'm probably getting old. Just recently in a talk I mixed first names of Anna Dušková and Eliška Březinová and didn't realize till the friend I was talking with notified me.)

I have just been working on some Fanfests for certain Dutch Skaters, and only through doing that found out that Alexandr had actually skated with one of the girls of the two pair teams. Not Daria though, but Nika Osipova. I'm sure the more knowledgeble of Russian Pairs could (and probably) have told me that a long time ago, but I still was surprised!

I've noticed that. Didn't know the story till I read your post.

I found out recently as well! In their single international competition together, they placed ahead of Akhanteva/Kolesov (and won).

Speaking of the past:

Last week, Sasha visited Yunost Skating school where he first started his skating career! It appears to be in Ekaterinburg, as it now features in his highlighted stories.

This school also posted a supportive message after Nastia and Sasha won the World Team Trophy in April.

^^^ This sequence of still shots from their Queen program is awesome because, to me, it shows how harmonious and together Nastia and Sasha are in all their movements, whether they're unison or complementary movements. That's one of the ways that I think they show their connection with each other,, and their mutual commitment to expressing every nuance of the program.

I was hoping that M/G would get Rostelecom this year and they did!
Plus they are assigned to NHK and they really enjoyed skating at that event 2 years ago. Good luck to them! :giggle:
