It's Christmas weather in Moscow (which is not typical for this region and this time of year). Today it is 3 ℉ (-16 degrees Celsius), but due to the humidity in the region it is perceived as -7.6℉. Despite this, the skaters did not give up their performances. Andrei received a Brand from The Goonies-style foreheadband and wool gloves, as well as thermal underwear.
With all these conditions, he continues to skate in the show at the outdoor rink, as do the other skaters from the show. Their dedication is admirable.

Andrei said in an interview that he will take part in the jumping tournament and Spartakiade, and possibly the Channel One Cup if he gets an invite to it (he doubts it).

I don't think it's for the best. It's a commercial tournament. Even if Andrei didn't do well in the individual tournament, he would get some financial reward in the team tournament, even if he failed everything and his team lost. The financial aspect is very important right now, as is being able to get the attention of the fans again.
I don't know all the details, he didn't get an invite (considering literally everyone was called up, that's very disappointing) or he declined the invitation himself. Yes, he doesn't have the opportunity for full training, perhaps his perfectionism was the reason he declined to participate.
Perhaps something will change in the coming days. Now is a time of big changes for Andrei in general.
To get an invitation, you need a number of conditions: an idea that the organizers will like, a choreographer and a coach who will work on the number together with him, and finally, an opportunity to train the number on ice. Maybe Andrei will have an idea and it will be approved, but it won't make sense if he has no one and nowhere to practice the shownumber with. For now, under the current circumstances in his life, I don't envision him being able to compete in a showcase competition. But that's what's happening now, hopefully he can have a change in the near future.
So far Andrei's fan-group says only that he will most likely miss the St. Petersburg Championship. There is no complete information about the Jumping Championships.
