Overall, I'm glad with how Anna performed at Russian Nationals. She had several shaky moments but I think she deserved a place in team at the end.
 
Congratulations to Anna for pulling off two good skates in possibly the most competitive event of the season. I commend her for ignoring all the buzz and putting aside whatever struggles she's had in the past.
 
I hope she stays on the entry list for Worlds and Euros! Congratulations to her on brave performances at Russian nationals!
 
The commentator told during her gala performance that she was confirmed for Euro team. Does it mean she get to perform there?
 
It seems European podium time has come for Pogorilaya!! Not wishing Elena or Liza to falter but who knows maybe she will even achieve more :)

BTW, she will be on the same ice with Korpi, another Beauty Queen. Good luck Anna :cheer:
 
I like very much anna, I'm sure she'll skate well in stockolm. She is different from other russian girls...she is already grown up and she isn't going to have any problems with her body like the other girls. She's beautiful tall and slender and she has a natural grace. She also is serious and determinate and very motivate, but she hasn't all pressure on her, like lipninskaia last year. No problem if the 'podium results' not arrive soon...or not arrive always...she have to grow up , as skater, quietly and slowly, because she will last, like Carolina . Good luck My dear anna! Sorry, can someone tell me what the deal is with her coach? Anna Tsareva? She seems so nice to her and Anna seems to like her but I don't get the problem. Why is she called the "cruel trainer"? And how do people know?

I don't get the problem either. Unless someone tells us more info about Anna's training and her coach's methods, then we can start there.
 
From the couple interviews I've read with her coach, she seems like a decent and understanding person. I don't know that much about her, of course. There are other coaches who always look pretty stonefaced - Rukavitsin and even Mishin - but I know that they are kind people. So I give Anna T. the benefit of the doubt until she does or says something to make me think otherwise.
 
Anna is a very kind and sweet and sunny person. I follow her on instagram and on vkontact and I think she is a special girl. She is nice with everybody, she always thanks little girls who give her flowers , she answers personally the messages of her fans....I think her coach is a little rude, but many russian coachs are like that. They seem always so focused on the performance and they don't waste time to confort their athlets at kiss&cry when the performance isn't good...but I think anna gets along with tsvareva ....I'll try to get some more info on russian website... 😊
