Anna said that she wasn't tired, she was concentratedI like Anna’s new short program but she looked a bit tired today. Does anyone think it takes too much out of her for the free the next day? Still so pleased she recovered amazingly and won. Go Anna!
I would love to see them all current best girls fight for next Olympics, too, but I wouldn't dare make such an assumption..I think that Kamila is sufficiently superior to the current crop of juniors that she can still win in 2026.
I mean, we all know how fast women category progressed after each recent Olympics.. and now maybe Adelia just landing 4Lo can be a hint...Anna's new SP with commentary from Johnny, Tara and Tanith.
Some comments and “insights” from Johnny and Tara:
- Johnny was the first outsider to see this program earlier in the week (I assume when he was visiting them in Moscow? but I don’t know so please correct me if I’m wrong)
- On Tuesday, Anna did 4 run throughs in a row to get milage out of the program, that Johnny saw.
- Anna says this SP is harder than the old one because this one is much faster (the music?)
- Tara remarks that one of Anna’s strengths is delivering when it matters in competition.
- Tara loves the program already, says it fits her so well and that Anna is hitting the musical accents and it looks like she is conducting a symphony
- They remark that she “skates in the shadows [of her teammates, in practice]” but also notes that she shines when the music and lights are on
- Anna told Johnny that being the world champion gives her confidence, but defending her RusNats titles were more difficult
