translation:Anna talks about her ancestors from both mother's and fater's side of the family who took part on the WWII.
When I watched an old video in which Gleikhengauz imitated Alena Kostornaya, YouTube suggested that I watch another video taken around the same time.
Emma Gadzhiyeva (E) is also here, Gleikhengauz (D) is present, but this is an interview with Shcherbakova. February 2019, Anna recently became the champion of Russia for the first time.
translation:
Hello everyone, Zasport TV is with you, and today the reigning champion of Russia in figure skating Anna Shcherbakova visited our equipment center. We recorded a short interview with her, which you will see right now.
E: Anya, first of all, we congratulate you on another medal! At the Russian Championship, the fans gave you a huge amount of toys. And you even posted a photo on social networks with these gifts. Did you count how many toys were thrown on the ice in Perm?
A: To be honest, I didn't count. But this is the first time that so many toys have been thrown for me. There, besides the rest, there were two big bears. I managed to take everything with me, we had free space in the suitcase. When they throw something on the ice, I am very pleased. Quite often, fans make for me, with their own hands, some souvenirs, postcards, when you look at them, you can immediately see that people tried very hard. These are gifts with photos, with wishes. It's great to receive...
D: In our group, let's say, it all started with Alina Zagitova. And at first, these huge bears were dragged by us, the coaches. For example, when we flew with her from Finland, we were looking for a place for the bear, such that it would fit in the luggage. We eventually found a cleaner who gave us two huge black bags. We put our bear in these bags and calmly put it in our luggage.
E: Do the coaches get any toys that the fans throw on the ice?
D: Well, Eteri Georgievna sometimes likes to take some interesting toy for herself, so that later she can give it to Diana or someone else from her relatives. Well, chocolate - we try to eat it instead of our athletes.
E: By the way, you can see it when looking at Anya - she has the smallest body size.
D: Well, Anya is generally a special case. She eats everything - both meat and sweets. But the main thing is that she herself has a feeling of this line: just a little bit - you can, no one minds, the main thing is not to eat a whole bar of chocolate at once.
E (turning to Anna): Not so long ago you were on Channel One, and there you saw television from the inside. Tell me - did this profession seem tempting to you - the profession of a TV presenter or a journalist?
A: It was quite interesting for me to watch how it happens from the inside, how journalists work. Maybe... Well, let's see how it goes (laughs).
E: Well, today, as I understand it, you took advantage of a break between training sessions and came to the Zasport outfitting center, and there is a huge amount of clothes here, and you have already managed to try on some things. How familiar is shopping for you?
A: I don't shop much often, but I generally enjoy it. At competitions, when we go abroad and we have free time, we also go to the shops.
E: What can you remember about your last visit to the store? It's just that the three of you - you, Sasha Trusova and Alena Kostornaya, probably visit a shopping center after the end of the competition, buy something. So what do you remember about your last purchases?
A: Most often we buy sportswear. Especially when we were in Canada, where there were a lot of sports shops. There we went and chose sports sweatshirts for ourselves ...
E: When you get back from the outfitting center today, you will probably show off to the girls that you have a suitcase full of new sportswear.
A: Yes, but it will most likely not be bragging. Or boasting in a good way.
E: Look: there will be a junior festival in Sarajevo. What do you expect from this competition?
A: Well, it will be the first such tournament for me. I think I will get some unusual impressions. And I suppose that it will be more like a festival, a holiday, and not a competition.
E: I heard that Eteri Tutberidze keeps a vigilant eye on you - that is, he makes sure that you have beautiful makeup, well-groomed eyebrows, a good hairstyle - even in training. Is it so?
A: Yes, she always teaches us that our appearance is a very important factor, not only in competition but also in training. She says that it is necessary to always be well-groomed, neatly combed, with good makeup, that this greatly affects our internal state.
E: Well, you've already been dressed up, even managed to find a dress size suitable for a fragile girl like you.
A: Yes, I am very comfortable, the clothes are correctly sized.
E: So you could even jump in Zasport clothes?
A: Yes. Although, it seems to me, I could do jumps in any clothes.
E: Then show something, some jump, and I will try to repeat after you.
(Anna jumps, Gadzhiyeva repeats)
A: Please cheer for me. I will do everything in my power to skate well and get gold!
