Anna Shcherbakova

she said:

"I want to tell you - firstly, I noticed that almost all of our circles were made in the morning, when we had just arrived at the rink, for training. And in the evening, we probably get tired, and you won’t expect anything from us. Therefore, I tell you: now I have just arrived home from training. And secondly, an interesting fact - when leaving the skating rink, I was presented with a can of ice cream! That's all, thanks for your attention."

I will imply stereotypes. She is a girl

Awards and bears and a wall of glory:
it would be nice if she could really talk to Trusova. I think Anna can bring Sasha back to normal. Now I see a severe psychological trauma, and it has nothing to do with the "doping story", the war or the removal of Russia from the competition. In essence, this is a repetition of the situation with Zhenya, but in a much worse version.

I would wish that as well.

Really? How is it worse? Well at least consequences are not certain yet. Though I would expect more changes in the team are coming after Olympics..

I hear it in her voice, I even see it in some separate movements and facial expressions. She looks all the time like she's on the verge of another nervous breakdown. She said in fact that her behavior after the announcement of the results at the Olympics was absolutely correct. This is a completely inadequate and generally immature statement. Even if we admit that the judges were 100% unfair, this reaction is still wrong. This mistake must be acknowledged, otherwise it is not clear how to return to normal at all, how to remain in sports, in public life.

It is unbearably painful to watch, and although I really wanted Anna to win, now sometimes I have the thought that it would be better for her to give in to Sasha. I know for sure that Anna would have taken second and even third place much easier.

This is much worse than the situation in 2018 partly because Anna and Sasha are or were like best friends.

I think the psychological trauma is not with Anya. No matter what's happening around her she stays calm and focused and gets the job done. If she had finished 2nd at the Olympics you would not have heard a peep out of her.

I also think it's terrible the fed did not put Anna or sasha in the team event free skate. I think that's a point of bitterness for the girls.

It's interesting what you're saying but how do you think Anna could help Sasha? Even if they're very good friends (I don't really know how deep their friendship is though), Anna is the person who actually beat her... And I think what even makes it worse for her is the way she was beaten, 'cause I'm sure that after her best ever LP, Sasha was 100% sure that the only person who could beat her was Kamila and definitely NOT Anna... So I don't really see how Anna could help her in this situation... A (sport) psychologist would be a better way of help I think.

Translation from the comment:

“This is how my evening goes today (shows textbooks and notebooks). I read your comments and found out which programs you like best and I am very pleased to read this because for me each program is special and very warm and pleasant memories are associated with all of them. I also realized that many of my viewers cannot log to Instagram, so tomorrow I will post all my skating programs on my telegram channel.”

BTW it just reminds that after all the training Anna and other girls just sit over the textbooks and start their school duties...

Well the winner is always lonely, as they say. Olympics are no joke and everyone dreams about winning it. Well, maybe except Anna. And maybe that's why she won.. ;) But I feel sorry for her because inevitably some relationships were damaged. And she no longer has Alenka on the team.. 😭
