Just wondering as I love to chat about what I'm working on and also get new ideas too.
I crochet, cross stitch, knit and also do some fabric painting. I am also a member of Project Preemie and a Blanketeer for Project Linus. Project Preemie is a non profit volunteer organization that crochets, knits and sews blankets, layettes for our local Neo Natal Units and, sadly, burial gowns/buntings for the wee ones who don't make it. As for Project Linus, you can learn more at their website.
I'm just finishing a blanket and also a full term baby toque. Both crocheted. As I'm on dial up, I often work on hats while waiting for things to download. I have a brand new pattern book and once the toque's finished, I'll be starting on a baby sweater, booties and hat set. Crocheted as well.
I also have a knitted baby hat that's about a third done. I also have to knit the second in a pair of socks. I just find I prefer crochet to knitting, but I am very happy I finally did learn to knit.
As for cross stitching...I've got three projects I really need to finish. Two are pieces in a round robin I'm taking part in at one of the LOTR MB's belong to. Thankfully, everyone's been just as busy as I've been, so we'll *all* horribly behind w/this thing, but w/summer coming, we're hoping to get back on track w/it.
I also have the biggest piece I have ever atttempted that needs to be finished as well. I have one of the programs that can turn a picture into a cross stitch chart. This is a chart of Liv Tyler as Arwen from LOTR : The Return of the King. For those who know, it's from the scene where Arwen has her vision of Aragorn and Eldarion. It's a 12 page chart and is three pages high by four across. I have her about a third done, but I was very sick last summer and I just haven't had a chance to get back into the groove of things w/her. If you're interested in seeing the progress I've done on her, feel free to visit my Photobucket album I created for that very purpose.
I really do hope I get her finished sometime this year.
So...Anyone else?
