We Are Still and Time Moves Through Us
We Are Still and Time Moves Through Us is an experimental ice show combining figure skating, live music, motion tracking, and poetry.
The performance features both local skaters from the area as well international guest skaters Matej Silecky and Moe Okuda. All music for the production is newly composed by Martin Ritter, Alyssa Aska, and Pablo Mariña, and sets original texts by poet Elee Kraljii Gardiner. Featuring live vocals by Helena Sorokina.
Motion tracking software developed by Jeffrey Boyd and Martin Ritter is used to gather movement data on the skaters that is used to create interactivity between the skaters and the sound. Sounds of the ice are also an important part of this performance.
