I honestly never gave much consideration to the thoughts you posted. Sometimes life gets in the way of skating (as in marriage), but I get the impression that they are SO committed to their partnership. I guess only time will tell. Anxious to see their new programs and to see how Misha's choreo works out for them. Haven't seen anything yet about the FS. Also am wondering If they'll be at Sk Amer. As National Champions, I would think they will be.

:thank: Arriba! I SO believe what you said; I appreciate your reaffirming. (I do succumb to worries now and then.) Nice to know I may be over-thinking.

I do hope and expect that the usual practice goes: the current national champions are invited to SA. There's usually a place for one (or two?) additional US pairs teams too.

The SA publicity that I have seen on Twitter has two photos of Ashley and Tim, both from the Bella Belle SP, so I’m hoping they will:thumbsup:

Also, I can’t link because I’m on the iPad, but I loved Ashley’s IG post of Tim managing to showcase her practice fall as though it were choreo. So cute:)

Here' the link, for anyone interested in viewing it. The clip is quite charming. :luv17:

And for very important news (well, for the off season;)

Ashley said on IG that for skating purposes, after the wedding she will be Ashley Cain-Gribble.

Adding another hyphen to the US pair ladies:biggrin:

And now for actual news:

Ash and Tim's LP:

Experience and from the movie "Moonlight". ETA: the IG post implies other music from Moonlight in addition to Experience? But am I wrong?

Choreo by Pasqaule Camerlengo. Return to a winning team:hap85:

Almost a death spiral there:laugh:

I saw on Ashley's IG stories that Jimmy Ma, Mariah Bell and Amber Glenn attended. (and of course Tim)

Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness to Ashley and Dalton:hap57:

Congratulations to Ashley on her special day!

Drat! I wanted to get the update to Ashley's Singles thread uploaded before her wedding! (I had to take a break due to things happening in real life, and will be starting back into it today).

I knew the wedding was in June, but I thought it was further into the month. :drama:

Oh well!

Seriously, how beautiful is Ashley in this photo?!

As well as a copy of the photo you linked to on her Twitter profile, there are quite a few pre-wedding photos up on her Instagram page. Including a really funny video of Peter practicing walking Ashley down the aisle:

He's still pretty lively, so maybe time for a comeback... ;)

Oh, I hope more photos from the wedding start to appear over the next few days!!! I want to see the dress in it's full glory!!!

I wish Ashley and her new real-life husband all the best for a happy future together.

BTW, we'll see them on Skate America (main rivals Zabiiako/Enbert and Peng/Jin) and Internationaus de France (main rivals James/Cipres and Zabiiako/Enbert). At both events they will also compete against Denney/Frazier and it will be interesting to see how they improved after all the struggles and coaching changes.

Ashely and Tim are competing at Skate Detroit. Here is their new SP (they were 2nd after this segment):

Cain/LeDuc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nui6w8PEx3U (63.28 and 2nd)
Music: "A Storm Is Comin" by Tommee Profitt

What a lovely SP for Ashley and Tim! it's a contrast from last year's. It has a smooth yet subtly edgy quality; Misha Ge's choreography is subtly present, and C/L seem to be laying down, into their bodies, the mood of performing it. The steps and refinements will come. Kudos to them for showing it early even tho' they've had very little time to work on it, what with her marriage and actually taking a couple of weeks for a honeymoon! :)

The first time I watched this video, all I could see were the elements. Maybe it was purely my mood or focus. Or just possibly, there's something inherently about the program that takes more than one viewing to see the potential. If so? Smart of them to put it out there early. I really can't get over the contrast between my first viewing and today's. Last week, I thought "where the heck are Misha's touches?" And today .... I could see them and FEEL them.

Go Ashley and Tim! :hap10: :hap93:

Ashley and Tim WON the short program at US International Classic! Very impressive, considering Tarasova/Morozov and Peng/Jin were there!

I think they've got plenty of space to develop this program. I can see Misha Ge's touches. I love how Misha choreographed Ashley and Tim's footwork sequence to include flat-out performing in front of the judges. Really crisp, unison moves, with enough variation to be interesting.

I'm loving their twist! It has such snap and beautiful air positions. And I can see improvement in their group 5 axel lasso lift. Quite gorgeous now.

Congratulations Ashley:love: and Tim:love:!

Love their programs this season! They keep getting stronger and better and they really know what suits them musically and style wise. They are one of the most interesting pairs around [emoji178]

If anyone is planning to be in the financial district of Manhattan on December 10th and 11th at 7PM, Ashley and Tim will be part of the annual Brookfield Place rink Holiday concert.

Produced by Melissa Gregory and Denis Pethukov, the show will also feature Rohene Ward and Isadora Williams. This is the first time the show will be held on consecutive nights.

And I'm offering a translation of Croatian TV commentary. I hope it's better than Mr. Google's courtesy. A female commentator is an ISU technical specialist Ms Ivana Jakupkovic Marinkovic.

- Ashley Cane-Gribble and Timothy Leduc from the United States of America. She is of Australian origin, he is an American. And Ashley Cane is from a rich figure skating family and she took citizenship of the United States of America. They were 9th at last world championships, this is a pair who can burn an icerink, as it is usually said.
- A fantastic pairs team. Of course, I believe, the crowd unfortunately remember them because of a terrific fall which Ashley had last year. I must say, I was sitting at the technical panel, we were shocked and all really bothered and worried. And it was amazing that she after that fall stood up and it was really her who decided to continue the routine. I think it will never get out of my mind. He asked her if they stop. She told: No, we go on. They were 5th overall last year, this year they claimed title of Golden Spin. It is a pairs team who had already enough big competitions. In 2018 they were 2nd at Four Continents Cup, in 2019 they were 4th and I believe they have more years of good results in hand in pairs skating. This is a brilliant gala routine. What we have mentioned already, especially in America it is very popular. Their skaters do very many shows, skating is very well covered in media.
- Please forgive my interrupting. Some time ago there was a big dividing, yet in the age of my colleage Milka Babovic not everyone could take part in such shows. Amateur skaters were forbidden to perform in professional shows. But now that boundary vanished and they can do it as well.
- Yes and it is surely a good promotion of figure skating. When great names perform at figure skating shoes you have a bigger chance that children who came to see that shows will want to go in for figure skating. Unfortunately we in Croatia don’t have much of this shows unless we host some big competitions, but they are surely wery popular in great figure skating powers.
- And many children will want to skate when they see the next girl...

:thank: very much for your translation, gordana! I really love that turn of phrase she used about Ashley and Tim: "this is a pair who can burn an icerink" !

Also, I enjoyed the video of their exhibition number. Right after that came a video of Jason Brown's FS, and two more men including Alex Krasnozhon. I don't know if it was a fancam ... it didn't seem like it .... but I wish we could have seen Ashley and Tim's performance.

Congratulations to Ashley and Tim for having been chosen to perform in Lake Placid for the "Dream On" celebration of 1980 Olympics! The main event happened Wednesday 2/18. If you play the instagram, you can see the names of several of the hockey dream team, for whom the seating sections were named, and of course Herb Brooks. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8rj53dlWX-/

Also there are a couple of lovely IG posts where Ashley talked about why Lake Placid is special to her and her family (that's where her parents met!) and interviewed her dad about his skating in Olympics 1980.

And here's A&T skating after they got back to Texas, in adorable cowboy mode:

Ashley has a new hair color! I'm posting this picture so Ashley/Tim fans won't be knocked off their rocker by it. This shot shows Ashley looking as usual, except for the hair color. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9iESaIF1p0/

The first photo she posted with new color? I didn't recognize her! But it did make her near-turquoise eyes pop. She thanked Johnny Weir for connecting her with the New Jersey colorist.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them skate next week, assuming everything goes forward with worlds.
