Bebe Goes Full Throttle

She was hands down the best of the night. It was wonderful to see.

That is what it is all about isn't it??? Not SO MUCH of JUST whether they win or loss, place or fall, but was it enjoyable. Bebe has always been great to watch skate as long as I have seen her, winning, or performing up to the "points" the "accomplishment" factor is just a bonus. I got a HUGE kick out of watching Taylor Firth, jumps not so much up to the grade anyone hopes for, but did you see the style she skated with, the feeling she conveyed, the look on her face? That is the Joy of FS. It was wonderful to see Bebe rock the house and the points as well it was wonderful in it's own way to see Taylor "just" perform.

I believe she was this good last year, too. But as I like to say over and over again it's that pesky free program that makes or breaks skaters. There are so many "short program skaters" out there that can deliver amazing shorts only to stumble or crumble in the free when it counts most.

Is it the "Skeptic" or the "pessimist" j/k No really you are very real about the factors that have been ad the "likelihood's" that may transpire. A reality check. I just hope you enjoy it even if it might fall a little short.

Waxel - I miss you too. We would be having that wine discussion in the evening on the pros and cons of all the skaters. It's been fun here in Spokane (Washington's best kept secret).

What's been so good about this competition was the uncertainty of who will win. It made it more mind blowing. That goes for juniors - seniors except for B&A.

I thought she was great, thought the costume was great on her, and was pleased to see that someone with a bit of healthy 'meat' on her body could make such a statement.

Pity her Mum couldn't handle watching it, but at least her Dad had a moment of pride he'll never forget.
