I think this is all meant in good fun, no dirt.

I was joking, just like eveybody else! No worries!

He started the Canadian curse! It all stemmed from him, coming back with two silvers, and now all Canadian men are suffering from the sama fate!

This is a great crime indeed. Perhaps he would have to coach a skater to two Olympic golds that he had lost before it could end

Oh wait, that could be really close!

There were no Canadian singles male Olympic medalists until Toller Cranston. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Olympic_medalists_in_figure_skating

The curse started haunting Brian, Kurt, Elvis, and now Chan.

No Olympic figure skating saga is complete without a love story. So who are the love interests?

Brian Orser's love interest is Brian Boitano, but Boitano wants nothing to do with him because he wasn't ever able to win a gold medal. So now, Orser is desperately trying to coach as many skaters as possible to Olympic gold in the hope that Boitano will finally see him as worthy of his love.

Kurt was always smitten with the sexy Katarina Witt; he tried in vain to catch her eye first by being the man to land a quad in competition, and then by showing her how cool he was with his Casablanca program. Much to his chagrin, Witt had eyes only for Boitano, who spurned her affections just as he spurned Orser's.

Stojko's love interest was none other than Surya Bonaly. Clearly the way to Stojko's heart was through jumps and rebelling against the prescribed norm of artistry. Unfortunately for him, not only did Surya not return his feelings, but he himself was pursued by Boitano, which did not sit well with him at all. How could Stojko possibly love a guy who had never even landed a quad in competition. His pride was insulted!

As for Chan, his sole love interest was that elusive Olympic gold...

I find it hard to believe that there's no *Russian* love interest as of yet ...

The Russian women weren't really a force to be reckoned with until lately, and the Russian women in pairs and ice dance were too busy swapping love partners within their own country. But remember, the mysterious and sexy Katarina was from East Germany, which means she was probably a Russian spy ;)

But we have also forgotten to provide a love interest for young Gogolev, the hero of our story. Already he has developed a crush on the lovely Julia and wants to be her Romeo. But she showed with her programs this year that she is not yet ready for a Romeo and Juliet tale. And, sadly, at such a tender age, geography is even more divisive than feuding families.

I love Stojko's reasoning for spurning Boitano.

So, Orser's love is Boitano? That explains why he let Stephen go to USA! He hopes that if he selflessly gives a gold medal to the US (and Canada wasn't going to win gold anyway, let's face it), Boitano would finally return his feelings. Unfortunately, as StitchMonkey said, the curse follows you. Stephen winds up with... silver... for the United States. Now Boitano hates Orser, because he's worried Orser just passed the Canadian curse onto the US, and now no American man will ever win Olympic gold again.

Meanwhile, OGM-loving Patrick Chan has figured this all out. He stages his comeback with the hope that he'd finally win that Olympic gold, since the curse is chasing Stephen to the US. Reality hits him when he fails to even make the Olympic team. He realizes what should've been obvious from the start: at the age of 36, with no jump harder than triple lutz, he won't be competitive at the Olympics, curse or no curse.

So Patrick steals Orser's Pooh tissues for a good cry, depriving Orser of his last comfort/inanimate ally.

So ... when are we going to pitch this to HBO?
