It was reported on another board that Jeff Buttle, who has been complaining of back pain, has a hairline fracture of the spine and is not able to jump. It is possible that he will not compete at SC due to the injury.

Oh no!!! This is terrible news. IIRC, there had been some talk of a back injury on his website earlier in the summer, but no mention of anything this serious. Any news would be greatly appreciated.
