Carolina Kostner

Just watched again.
I think she plans the following content for the LP:
3Lz-2L
3F
3L-2T
3L
3T
2A-1/2L-3S
3S-2T
however, I don't think it will be enough for a medal and I don't see this as a more difficult layout.

*If* that is what she's planning, the base value is 61.23. That's more than competitive. Completely clean, based on her usual GOE for clean elements, that will be north of 145. If the judges are feeling generous since it's Milan and probably her last competition - again completely clean - I wouldn't be surprised if it went above 150.

Yeah, I think even without a 3-3, this is a good layout for her. I think she's planning to go out with a bang, and I hope she medals.

I hope so. This was really long season and NO ONE lady was as busy as Caro (I mean she was the only one who made GPF and TWO full olympic performances) and she not only doesn't complain on being tired - she tries new and the most difficult combination. Hats off.

If she goes clean and hopefully skating home will help her.... she can medal. I hope she does.

Is she really planning to retire after worlds? I am hoping she will stick "for love of skating, not for the medals".

Beautiful photo of Elisabetta Leccardi and Carolina rinkside at Senior Worlds:

The Ladies SP will start at 11:00 CET (10:00 GMT). So, 25 minutes from now.

Elisabetta will be the fifth to start the SP. So, final skater in Group 1.

Elisabetta is due to start at 11:33:30 CET (10:33:30 GMT). But that may change if anybody before her withdraws.

Carolina, meanwhile, will be the 33[SUP]rd[/SUP] to start the SP. So, second skater in the final group (Group 7).

Carolina is due to start at 16:05:30 CET (15:05:30 GMT). But that may change if anybody before her withdraws (unlikely to happen in reality, since there is only Wakaba Higuchi between the resurfacing and Carolina).

:cheer: ALL THE BEST GIRLS!!! :cheer:

Carolina watered down her planned freeskate content. According to the planned program doc on the ISU Website she is going for:
3Lz
3F
3Lo-2T
3Lo
---
3T
2A-1Lo-3S
3S-2T

hmmm... I hope she changes her mind since the 3F-3T was so beautiful in the short.
