She was wonderful! :D :D Cinderella took the gold medal in her Gold Ladies event at the US Figure Skating's Adult Nationals! Woo Hoo!!!!

Thanks for posting the great news!

Cinderella, CONGRATULATIONS!

How inspirational to see all your work and enthusiasm pay off!

WOO HOO!!! WAY TO GO CINDY!!!!! Cherish this moment forever. Nothing's greater than winning a gold medal at your first nationals! You are my hero! Congratulations!:D :D :D

Thank you so much everyone, your support always means a lot to me.

Sk8er1964 played a HUGE role in reminding me that it's all about going out there and showing them that you love to skate. And if there's nothing else, I can honestly say that I LOVE to skate! She's too modest to tell you that she had some strong performances as well. And don't forget that she had previously qualified to compete at the Championship level, which makes her solid gold in my book. It was humbling to watch all of the ladies in this group. I hope to join them some day.

This whole awesome experience, and especially the friends I met in Lake Placid, have inspired me to work even harder and to try to bring my skating to the next level.

So much to learn ... so little time!!!

Artekgwent - I'd be happy to provide a picture. Can someone give me some information on how to do so here?

Cinder: If you don't mind saying so, which group were you in? (You can PM me if you prefer).

Hugs,

Yaz

Congratulations!!!!! To you and to everyone who competed-it sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Yaz - I was in Adult Gold Ladies 3.

And before you all make me blush some more, let me just say that there were just HUNDREDS of incredible performances at this event. The sad thing for me is that there were people who performed their hearts out who did NOT win medals, either because their competition was so stiff, or the judges didn't see things quite the way the audience did, or for whatever reason. But every single person who performed showed more heart and passion than I remember seeing at any competition, exhibition, or show that I've ever seen, including most elite events. It was just amazing.

I think all of the skaters here just totally ROCK!!!! Woo hoo for everyone, no matter what their level or whether they compete or not.

Cinder, I remember your performance. One of the benefits of working the registration table, I was able to duck out and catch a lot of the competitions.

A big thumbs up for a job well done.
