Convince me!

One of the things I really like about America is that people are so giving. If something happens, people would step up and help others, send money, donate foods, clothing etc.. That's something I never saw in Japan.

I have lived for years in many countries around the world, in America, in Asia, in Europe.
My experience was completely different. In the other countries, I found very helpful and kind people, giving, sending money, donating foods, clothing, very generous in many countries and cultures around the world.
Japan is a great country. I was actually shocked at how helpful, kind and polite people are there.

I must admit I was never the biggest Maria Butyrskaya fan but I always gave her credit for putting in a good fight for what success she had. Commentators were always going on about how she was too old, a woman in a girls sport and so on. I think over the years she had some very nice skates and while she was never "the best spinner" or "the best jumper" she did have a few skates where she had her best spins, jumps and performance levels and on those days, she was very nice to watch.
