Crazy Future Predictions

In 2018 Ashley wins Olympic gold, followed by a world championship, then retires, competes on and wins Dancing With the Stars, then she and Adam team up and replace Johnny and Tara at NBC.

I would love this  Actually anyone who replaces Tara and Johnny will have a warm welcome coming from me

gabby daleman becomes the first canadian woman skater landing a triple axel and hell breaks down at the TCC as Alaine is completely angry... in retaliation, she becomes the first canadian woman to land the 3a in combo..

Yulia announces that she is retiring to become a rhythmic gymnast.

Satoko grows a foot and starts overrotating her jumps so much that she opts for a 3Lz-4T in the FS, which is not counted because 4-3s are not allowed in ladies. Nevertheless, she still only loses the world title by .03 because of an edge call.

Gracie Gold and Elena Radionova are cast as the leads, a typical "ice princess" character named Hope and her Russian rival Alina, in a bad skating-themed Disney movie called "Ice Divas" (the plot of which is that the arch-rivals are forced to train together when Hope's coach is somehow incapacitated in a way that will allow the movie to maintain its PG rating :p). In addition, several other skaters are cast in small parts, and TAT plays the girls' coach. Most of her lines are ridiculously artificial "elder wisdom" speeches; approximately 90% of the costume budget was used to get her different fur coats for every scene. The cast takes many cute selfies on the set and several skating magazines run stories about the making of the film.

In addition, there is a predictable romantic subplot involving Gracie's character and an ice dancer at the rink, played by (insert name of American ice dance man), and the Shibs have some role in filming/editing/directing. :p

TCC, in tis current fan-voting format, is not repeated.... wait... this is actually plausible

Can I ask what you've eaten today to get your imagination so crazy and creative!? :eeking::jaw:

1. Hubbell/Donohue pass Chock/Bates at Nationals. (Wishful thinking on my part. No offense to C/B, but H/D are my   .

2. Elena Radionova doesn't make GPF or Russian Worlds team. (NO! MY DARLING! But...I see at least one of Yulia, Anna, Liza, and Maria Sotskova making decent cases next season.)

3. Sui/Han win Worlds!

Oops...above are the real predictions I started to make before realizing this was a thread for fun/ridiculous predictions.

1. Maria Sotskova wins everything after turning senior, proving to everyone that Russian ladies are one season and done.

2. Yuzu does the quad loop in competition, in both SP and LP, to break his own world records at GPF. Loses Worlds to charming Javi yet again. Miki and Javi marry, while riding off into the sunset while they remember how often they were able to beat "superior" skaters Mao and Yuzu.

3. Maxim Kovtun's new program is to a new hit song entitled "I Can't Skate." No one is surprised.

4. Meanwhile, Gracie's new LP is "Carmen." All mistakes are blamed upon the terrible music choice.

(I wish my joke predictions were less snarky.... but none are meant to be offensive.)

They are not released until the Olympic year. We don't know the SD rhythm for that season yet, but whatever it is, they skate to something with lyrics in French for it. Their free dance is to "Requiem for a Dream," a tribute to their lost singles careers. They plan an exhibition to "We Are the Champions" and try to scrap it when they win the bronze, but when they cannot choreograph a new exhibition in 30 hours, they must perform it anyway and it goes viral. An article entitled "Irony on Ice: is this Exhibition Program the Most Ironic Moment in Figure Skating History?" Popularizes the team and draws many fans to ice dance. GS crashes when the thread sharing the article gets overloaded. The mods must recruit several longtime posters to deal with all the newly-registered members.

Meanwhile, some posters get mad that all these new people are showing up to rave about Patelina :p and create "The Rink": a "Forum for the Figure Skating Intellectual."
i think i will be one of the creator of the rink lol :laugh2:

This isn't a prediction, it's more of a question. After this current crop of US Men, is there anyone other than Nathan that's ready to take on the new seniors from Canada, Russia, and Japan?

Hmm...Tomoki Hiwatashi won the WJ bronze, and Vincent Zhou made the JGPF (came in 4th there and 5th at JW), so yes, I think we'll be okay. :)

There's also Alexei Krashnozon, who won a JGP medal and has 4Lo.

Isadora Williams wins 4cc
Florencia Lin JWC
I became the first and only latin-america ISU non-biased judge.
Carolina comes back and defeats everyone in the TES score.
Yulia goes to train with Irina Viner (Russian Head coach of RG) and becames a mix of Rita, sasha soldatova and has makes Almudena Cid turn green if envy.
Celine Dion songs and Leo's voice overs turn to be banned

i think you should focus on USA ladies and Dance :) that's where it's shining right now... in a few years, it may be very different but we never know right ? I was just talking about Stephen Gogolev who is a novice skater for canada able to land 3A and 4S... what will happen to him in 4-5 years when he reaches senior ranks? will he be smashing world records or will he have injuries or size issues ?

I have had an idea for what I thought was a crazy prediction going through my head ever since I saw this thread. But the posts in this thread are even crazier than I expected! Mine would seem quite possible in comparison... :o:

Ach, sod it! I will!

Dimitri Aliev to miss the whole season through injury, after Alisa Fedichkina slapped him so hard when she found out he had been checking out Alena Leonova's backside.

Exhibit 1

See what I mean. It is not crazy enough. :slink:

I'll try and come up with some crazier ones.

But, whatever crazy predictions I or anybody else comes up with in this thread, they will never match the craziness that is going on in Pairs Skating in China at the moment... :disapp:
