Oh no! OUCH!! Good grief, what next? I suspect even such a seemingly "small" thing will affect her balance a bit and take some getting used to.
Maybe she can get fans autographs too, while she's signing them>

i would not be surprised if she withdrew. My goodness! all the age eligible ladies are dropping like flies. Poor Alissa... I hope she gets better soon!

Didn't she credit her Skate Canada win two years ago to being distracted by all the travel woes and being exhausted?
Maybe this will be good for her.

She will probably make up her mine once she see how her sp goes. If it hurts to pull in for jumps thats not good. Things don't look good for us. Looks like its going to be all the age inelegible girls on the podium plus Kimmie. Maybe Kimmie & Wagner can get enough points together. I'm a litle nervous.

I think that this will only hurt her.
Jumps have always been her weakness and now she says that it hurts to pull in on them.........
Also, isn't it dangerous to skate with a cast on? My friend hurt her arm about 5 months ago and the doctor oredered her to just basically stroke and do nothing else.
Imagine what could happen if she falls on a triple jump on top of that arm.........

Yes, this really is bad news. Alissa is such a lovely skater and is lovely to watch like another poster indicated. I always look forward to her skating. She is one of the US ladies who has such a distinct style. I would love to see Alissa win a big competition again so she can take that success to SOI. Skating in shows would be a wonderful venue for this very talented young lady.
