"In training, I'd already started landing two quads in a combination more or less consistently. Unfortunately, it didn't work out today, although I landed the first quad well. I probably relaxed too early, which didn't help me hold on and add a combination to it. And since I'd already been working more on the second quad, I didn't try the triple because I thought I might screw up the triple flip under the stress, since I hadn't practiced it with the second element. So I decided to go with what I'd already practiced. So, I went all-in."It was tough going into the competition today, and I tried to hold on until the very end, not letting up in the second half. It probably showed when I saved my second Lutz—I knew I couldn't afford to lose points and had to fight to the end to stay on the podium. I'm not very satisfied today because I didn't fulfill my plan, but I'll keep working."

Unfortunate. But still my favourite performance today. :love3:

Well but it makes sense, if she learns a second quad then losing stability on 4T is expectable. I wonder what is the second one, I presume 4S, but if she avoids 3F mostly then it could be a 4F too.

Dasha Sadkova did not expect to finish in the top 3 after the short program:

"I thought the girls competing after me would get more. Sonya Muravyova and Sonya Akateva, for example, are more experienced, so they could get more components. It was a bit tough skating; I felt like I had little energy. Maybe it was the jet lag; practice was a little later than usual, and there was a short break. I usually manage to get some sleep before the performance. I enjoyed the performance in Kazan more. It’s really cool, we have a lot of competition at the competitions, and a lot of girls from the national team are competing.”
