Frida by Ksenia Gushchina was one of the top nine programs in women's FC for the 2022-2023 season according to instablogger fs.delight. I congratulate Kseniya, Alexandrina Degtyareva, Kirill Davydenko, Anton Shulepov and everyone involved in the creation of the program, it really made an impression. My personal rating is a little different from the instablogger's rating, but I really liked the way he described the program he liked:
"This pick is about the music for me, as well as the quiet confidence and powerful athleticism with which Ksenia performs.
I’ve talked before about how I’m a sucker for programs with trippy interludes, and no program this season pulled that off better than this one. Specifically, the section late in the program that begins with Ksenia’s commanding ina bauer is pure bliss for me. It only lasts for half a minute and then resolves perfectly into the “Poeta En La Mar” section of the program. That brief but memorable half minute, during which you feel like you’re in a dream swimming underwater, made this program a lock for this countdown".
I definitely like the fact that Ksenia, who was a provincial junior who did not attract attention outside of Russia last season, is becoming a subject of interest in the international space. She is really good in her category, presenting her content cleanly and confidently. Young enough age and experience of training on the same ice with guys who go for super-complicated elements will surely encourage her to make a technical breakthrough, so we will wait for complications, probably already in the next season.
