I like his SP very much and he was elegant as usual though a bit slow. The fall happened but he got right back up so probably no real injury.

The LP sounds like it's filled with jumping problems, the quads specifically and 3A. A jump failure could easily lead to others in a bad day, which was probably what Denis had. I hope he is completely healthy and will pick up his progress toward Worlds.

yeah ... i did think the SP was good too, and would concur with VB here...

for the fall on the 3A, it doesn't look like a serious injury... from what I saw, he may have bruised the side of his knee, which is super painful and may have been a factor in his LP but will be better by WC ! Go Denis!

Awww! Don't lose heart, Denis!

I hope he can come back and perform to his satisfaction at Worlds'. I still haven't lost hope that he will place well there.

Well, he has had a history of injuries starting several years back. It would sound strange, but he was relatively healthy only during the 2014-15 season since 2012.

Is there a chance? If he skates the way we know he can - Yes.

Is it likely - after his injuries, and what shape he may be in... ? Well, it is Denis, so who can say, really?

(You know, he makes me think of that fairy tale wherein the heroine is asked whether she would want to have the first part of her life happy, and the later sad - or the first part sad, and the later happy. She chooses the latter, and has a tough time of it, and then, after many years, things change, and she lives the rest of her life happily ever after. Denis seems to have made some such deal about his seasons... Maybe we've come to the happy part of this season at last.)
